The Red Cross of Asgarnieu is a disaster-relief organization that is based in Balkan City, Asgarnieu. It has existed since 2000, before 2000 it was known as the Asgarnian Armed Forces Civilian Disaster Relief Corps (AAFCDRC), and has since broken away from any military ties to promote a vision of peace and unity.

History

Started in 1978, the Asgarnian Armed Forces Civilian Disaster Relief Corps was created as an organization of civilians working for the Defense Department and Department of the Military. Its sole mission was to deploy to intranational and international disaster sites to provide shelter, potable water, and other associated disaster relief operations. Following public outcry in 1999, the AAFCDRC was disbanded and renamed The Red Cross of Asgarnieu, staffed completely by voulenteer civilians and under the command of the Department of Internal Affairs and Department of the Interior.

The Asgarnian Red Cross (ARC) has since been run in this manner, and it is unlikely that it will change.
