Redmound is a vastly important city in the Republic of Guffingford. Many important (government) buildings are located, since it has served as the nation capital during the years of unrest. Especially in 1837, when the colonial capital of Hoogenbosch was under attack by French colonial forces from Cerfonlande and Germans and the Dutch defending it, Redmound became the defacto capital and kept that honourable position for the coming years. In 1901 when [[Guffingfordian Catholicism]], now Guffingfordian Christianity or Guffingfordian Protestantism was officially granted a See by the Patriarch, Redmound was chosen to serve as the Sancta Sedes Guffingfordii, also known as Saint Christopher's See. Redmound is a vastly important city in theHanseatic League of Guffingford. Many important (government) buildings are located, since it has served as the nation capital during the years of unrest after Guffingford gained independence. In 1906 when deism was officially granted a See and a Patriarch was appointed, Redmound was chosen because it was the most godless city in the country and a priest said: "If I cannot build a church in Redmound and if I cannot cleanse people of their sins, then this city is not worthy of God." That said, and the priest succeeded and since then the city served as the Sancta Sedes Guffingfordii, also known as Saint Christopher's See. Redmound is the religious capital of Guffingford, the Patriach's palace is located, and the Cathedral of the Sacred Blood. The religious parts of town are relatively new compared to the older parts in which the brothels, gambling holes and other low forms of entertainment were organised during the wild years of Guffingford.

Some people argue Redmound's not a fitting place for a Holy See for Deism, because of the tumultous history of the city.
