Redmound is a vastly important city in the Republic of Guffingford. Many important (government) buildings are located, since it has served as the nation capital during the years of unrest. Especially in 1837, when the colonial capital of Hoogenbosch was under attack by French colonial forces from Cerfonlande and Germans and the Dutch defending it, Redmound became the defacto capital and kept that honourable position for the coming years. In 1901 when Guffingfordian Catholicism, now Guffingfordian Christianity or Guffingfordian Protestantism was officially granted a See by the Patriarch, Redmound was chosen to serve as the Sancta Sedes Guffingfordii, also known as Saint Christopher's See. Redmound is the religious capital of Guffingford, the Patriach's palace is located, the most important cathedrals and many other instutes of religious importance.
