Griefing redirects here, but can also refer to perpetually harassing another player not in the course of an invasion.

Invasion griefing, often referred to as but really a subcategory of griefing, was defined as a non-Founder illegally ejecting too many members of a region, or otherwise violating the previous. rules of invasions. One slightly less-known about use for the term "griefing" was if a delegate ejects too many nations for the purpose of refounding the region.

Invasion griefing is no longer possible, due to the advent of the influence system. This quantifies and automates the rules, so it is impossible to break them.

Past Examples of Griefing

  • Massive complaints arose on the forums during a case involving Hogsweat being deleted for griefing. Hogsweat did not know about the rule and ejected too many nations during a refounding.
  • Another example was during the first Empire Earth invasion of Pink Floyd where Gwynnedd, a puppet of The Land of Lusitans, was deleted for not giving the password out to all of the natives. Gwynnedd's supporters tried to say that since many members of Pink Floyd had moved to The Floydian States voluntarily, they no longer qualified as natives. The moderators said no, that Gwynnedd was deleted and would stay deleted.
  • Shortly after the previous example, The Imperial Race was deleted for ejecting too many members of Pink Floyd when trying to refound.
  • Vincent B gained delegacy as a sleeper cell in The Swamp and promptly ejected all 127 nations. And was consequently deleted.
