There are 11 Regional Governments of Allech-Atreus that function with a certain degree of autonomy. Each region has its own political system and infrastructure, but must defer to the authority of the Empire. Each planet, though nominally under the control of the regional government, has an Imperial Governor to ensure that the nobles stay in line and remain loyal to the Empire.

Abdus

Main article(s): Abdus

The Grand Duchy of Abdus is a powerful region that once held aspirations for Empire. The Orn family have held the Grand Duchy since the first Keltan Emperors, and the current Grand Duke is Orn IV Innti. Abdus is also very wealthy, due to their control of all the Beldani Combine trade routes, as well as some Tangol routes.

The capital of Abdus if Abdus IV. Kazamal, an independent region of the Empire, was once a part of Abdus, though it has rebelled and broken off numerous times. This has resulted in a deep enmity between Kazamal and Abdians.

Kolhurnia

Main article(s): Kolthurnia

Kolthurnia is an extremely large and powerful region of the Empire that once provided the Keltan line of Emperors, having conquered the known galaxy at least twice. Born out of the disorganized planets of the Wild Space Region, the warlord Kolthur Keltan solidified his hold on the planet Yacha (now Kolthurnia in his honor), and subjugated each planet by force, forging the Kingdom of Kolthurnia in his name.

The region is notable for its size, as well as its administration of Vanda Khal, an Imperial Capital, and Wayland, an ancient planet known for its metalworks. The King of Kolthurnia is Malachi Keltan

Artaxia

Main article(s): Artaxia

Artaxia is a region bordering Kolthurnia, the Core Worlds, and Longyear. Artaxia is not particularly influential or strong, but they are fairly solvent, due to their control over the trades routes into and out of Zurrian space. Artaxia has long been a target in the civil wars that sweep the Empire, as control of the trade routes gives needed funds to the war effort.

Artaxia is ruled by an elected council known as the Kantaz.

Vardacia

Main article(s): Vardacia

Vardacia is a region long known for rebellion and populism. The region of Vardacia was formerly under the sphere of Valtenhayn. Vardacia is best known for the Republic of the Vardacian Commonwealth, a pseudo-communist government that nearly conquered the galaxy and destroyed the Empire.

Vardacia is now ruled by a republican government with seperate and enumerated powers. However, Imperial governors have very close control over the region due to its difficult past.

Atraxia

Main article(s): Atraxia

Atraxia, not to be confused with Artaxia, is an ancient region that encompasses the a wide wath of systems. The site of the ancient Gishan Empire, Atraxia commands the wealthy Tangol trade routes, as well as the historic planet Gish, which serves as the capital.

Atraxia is ruled by the Supreme House, a group of elected nobles.

Osmana

Main article(s): Osmana

Osmana is nicknamed "The Perpetual," because it has not faced any serious threats since the reign of the Lakariks. The house of Osman has held the position of Sultanshah for that time as well, making Osmana the longest running legitimate government in the Empire.

The capital of Osmana is Kazman Prime, also noted for being the seat of the Sulbein Osmanaran religion.

Danaae

Main article(s): Danaae

If Osmana is "The Perpetual," Danaae is "The Dangerous." The smallest of all centralized regions, Danaae is an ancient region adjacent to the Core Worlds, home to powerful warriors and a fierce race of people. The Danaae are ruled by the Polemarchia, a group of distinguished warriors and leaders elected, one from each planet, to run the region. The Danaae are some of the greatest combat warriors in the Empire, and as such they are highly sought after for the Pulsar Guards and elite units.

The capital is Mycena, and the Polemarchia meet there.

Kazamal

Main article(s): Kazamal

Kazamal was once part of Abdus, but gained independence multiple times, being invaded whenever the opportunity arose. Originally an impoverished area with a high population, Imperial programs strengthened the industry and turned it into a self-sufficient region, which in turn strengthened a sense of regional pride. The Abdians have struggled to gain control, both because of the lucrative industry, but also because of the tax base.

Longyear

Originally a part of Artaxia, Longyear are some of the farthest planets from Imperia Prime, not counting Brackthan's Asteroid. Commonly thought to be backwater, backwards places, the Longyear systems are actually quite civilized, and provide a haven for all sorts of socially unacceptable (yet otherwise fine) people. Technically the smallest region in the Empire, there is no government of which to speak. All planets govern themselves.

Far Reach

If Longyear is at one end of the Galaxy, Far Reach is at the other. Close to Beldani Combine space, Far Reach is a small region that provides heavy trade and wonderful historic research. The capital is Shaddat.

The Core Worlds

Main article(s): Core Worlds

The center of the Empire. Important planets like Khaylamnis, Imperia Prime, and Zumakkalemake up the oldest region in the Empire, and the seat of Imperial power.

The League of Independent Systems

A small group of fiercly independent planets, this group is a buffer between Abdus and Kolthurnia. Each region has tried to invade them multiple times, but the League has always defeated them. An oddity in the Empire, the League is given near complete autonomy, in exchange for cooperation.
