The repeal of the popular Protection of Dolphins Act, unlike an unsuccessul first repeal attempt, narrowly passed on an argument based entirely on the act's redundancy under the UNCoESB, which protects endangered wildlife.

Resolution History

Following Omigodtheykilledkenny's unsuccessful attempt to repeal the dolphins act, Venerable libertarians twice tried to supplement the UNCoESB with repeals of both the dolphins act and the whaling ban, but failed to achieve quorum both times. Yelda, who had been a steadfast supporter and campaigner for all attempts at repeal, finally took it upon itself to propose a repeal through its UN "client state", Yeldan UN Mission.

Proposal Campaign

Riding remarkable momentum, the proposal hit quorum after just two days on the proposal list.

UN Debate

The debate was described by some forum regulars as "dull as ditchwater." It passed despite near-unanimous opposition on the part of the Feeder regions.
