Retcon - "Retroactive Continuity" - A variant of the fluid time theory in which you go back and edit an older post to delete data that you don't like anymore. This can be good (fixing a logic mistake such as a date or name), or it can be a type of godmod, used to "undo" a bad choice you made.

IE: You launch a fighter-bomber strike on an opponent. Your opponent decimates your fighter bombers with a new type of SAM. You go back to the first post and change some facts, making your strike either not happen, or have some new trick to defeat this SAM.

A particularly insidious way to RetCon is to go back and edit reference threads to "create" new technologies, and when asked, point to the thread and declare that you "always had them".
