Possibly the most important part of the Rethast Armed Forces, the Air Cavalry is he first stage in almost any attack. They are what deploy soldiers using their many Dropships, and it is their responsibility to destroy enemy installations prior to troop movements. The Air Cavalry operates a total of 20,000 Aircraft.
Organisation
The Air Cavalry is organised into twenty Wings, each with roughly 1,000 Aircraft. Wings are either given their own missions, or attached to an army to provide aerial support. Each Wing usually consist of the following:
- 300 J-16 Jetbikes
- 120 R-16 Vipers
- 70 B-21 Mercuries
- 60 B-32 Venus'
- 40 S-02 Wraiths
- 40 S-04 Spectres
- 70 R-22 Taipans
- 300 D-18 Dropships
Air Bases
The Twenty Air Wings are all divided amongst several air bases and Fleets. Air Wings are, like the armies, numbered. The first through third Wings are reserved for defending Rethast airspace and are all based in the same Airbase, Oppenheimer.
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Wings - Oppenheimer Airbase, Southern Rethan
- 4th Wing - Färher Airbase, Eidola Mountain Range
