In Riegab there are three branches of the government, one "The Chancellery", two "The Legislative" Branch, and three "The Justice Branch".

Either the House of Commons or the Senate proposes an idea for a law, then the other house approves it with a majority vote, if they don't it is sent back with changes, this prosses continues untill a final draft can be agreed on, or after so much alloted time the issue is droped. If it is agreed on it goes to the Justice Branch, they judge weather it is constitutional or not, if not it goes back for rewriting. Again if it passes it goes to the Chancellory if it is passed by the Grand Ministry it will become a law, if it is rejected it can go back to the legislative branch for a vote, in this case it's not a majority win, it takes over 66% (2/3) vote to pass it into a law even though the Chancellery disaproved it.

Chancellery

The Riegaban Chancellery is akin to the United States' Executive branch and can also be called the Executive Branch like the US counterpart. The Chancellery is comprised of three part, the Executive Office, the Grand Ministry, and the War & Intelligence Ministry.

Executive Office

The Executive Office is the building of residence and work for the Chancellor and his vice. In this building is also the Advisory Council Chamber, this is where all Advisory Council meetings are held. Both the Chancellor and his vice are elected, the Chancellor is elected 100% by the people of Riegab. However the Vice Chancellor is voted on by the Legislative Brach to avoid the Chancellor from just picking a freind to run with.

Grand Ministry

The Grand Ministry is a block in downtown Ethnemka, this is where all of the Ministries are located, each of these provide the Chancellery with a Minister to aid him/her when the Advisory Council is in session (this is just a meeting between the Chancellor and the Ministers). The Ministries are as follows: Commerce, Culture, Defence, Domestic Affairs, Education, Energy, Foreign Affairs, Health, Nova Latium, Science, Trade, Transportation, Treasury.

War & Intelligence Ministry

The War & Intelligence Ministry is seperate from the others because it is located at an undisclosed location outside the city. They also provide the Advisory Council with a Minister from both the war and intellegence ministry. (on a side note the represenative for the war ministry is the general in command of the military)

Legislative Branch

The Legislative Branch of Riegab is bicameral, the lower house, the House of Commons is elected 100% by the people of Riegab, however the upper house, the Senate is elected by the people in the House of Commons, this truly shows that everyone is elected by the people. The Capitol Building is located on the waterfront in Ethnemka. It sits directly adjacent to the Chancellery which is located accross the street, this way the Chancellor can easily attend sessions as an observer, also observers from other nations as well as the occasional school class are welcome to watch, this is why we have spots for translators in each hall, in the senate hall they are located on the tiers, and in the house of commons hall they are located in the booths toward the front of the hall, as seen in the pictures below.

Senate

In the Senate, the speaker is elected by the Senate itself, the Speaker of the Senate is called the "Aurea Minister" (Gold Minister). He directs all actions taken place in the Senate. The Senate is comprised of 150 Senators, 10 from each of Riegabs nine districs (Chetinop, Eager, Falsherm, Fedumt, Ghustomet, Kagemshlefer, Morze, and Thrasea), 10 from Nova Latium Riegabs puppet to the south, and 10 from Lazhefu SAR. Due to rising importance of commerce in the government there are 40 senators that come from major businesses to ensure their ideas are brought up. House of Commons

The lower house, the House of Commons is just that, they are normal everyday people that are propsed by other everday citizens, and voted on by them. In this house, the Speaker of the House is elected again by the House itself, the Speaker is called the "Prime Minister" (Top Minister). The House of Commons is comprised of 440 Commoners, 40 from each district, 40 from Nova Latium and 40 from Lazhefu SAR.

Justice Branch

The Justice Branch is composed of 9 "Iustitiae Omnibus" (Justice for All) or magistrates, 4 of which are appointed by the Senate and the other 5 are appointed by the House of Commons. They are the highest court in the land and they have the power to amend the constisution (with legislative approval).

The Monarchy

In 2005 the Senate would approve a bill that would allow Nathaniel A. Hariosi to become the Emperor of Riegab, though he had no power, this title would forever follow his family, and bring honor to them. The official residence of the Emperor is in the ancient Meiginoku castle, construction started in 1525 and finished 1526. It was built for the original emperors of Riegab, but after the reign of Emperor Shlotsnok in 1738, the castle fell into disrepair untill 1918. In 1918 the Riegaban Historical Society, founded four years previous, started a restoration prosses so that people may enjoy the grandeur that it once was. Below is a picture of the castle after the RHS got finished cleaning the area of all foliage that had overgrown the are, the next image is in 1989 where you can see some of the tourists it to once it catered, and the last picture is of the entrance.
