"River of my People" is the national anthem of the Confederated Peoples of the Resurgent Dream. It was based on a song of the same name which was written during the Lanerian Civil Rights Movement and advocated the coming together of different peoples into a single community.

The song was only one of several considered for use as the Confederal national anthem. Like all other national symbols, the national anthem is legally determined only by ordinary legislative statutes and can be changed by a simple majority in the Congress of the Confederation at any time. Because of the song's recent adoption, this remains a distinct possibility, although it is likely to become untenable as time ellapses and the song achieves a stronger traditional status.
