History

In 1999, 24 ex-employees of Air Willink approached multi-milloniare Craig Samson about investing in a low-cost Airline focusing on passenger comfort and quick flights, which he immeditely showed interest in and gave 20 million dollars to the program. Over the past 15 years the company gradually expanded and became the largest low-cost airline in the nation, and the nations second largest, becoming the main competitor of Air Willink.

Rivera is known for the large amount of of features available to the passengers in flight, including DVD players, game systems, internet access, and a IMS. This has made it very popular with the younger generation. This year it was named one of the worlds top 100 airliners in terms of quality, reaching the rank of 82, although still a far reach from Air Willink.(#9)
