The Royal Palace at Tarana, more often referred to simply as the Royal Palace, is the primary official residence of the Danaan Monarch. In addition to being the primary residence of High King Owain and High Queen Marissa, the Royal Palace is the scene of state occasions, royal entertainments, and the formal reception of foreign ambassadors. The Royal Palace is also a major tourist attraction and the base of operations for all officially visiting heads of state.

The Royal Palace itself is part of the Marble City, carved from the same great slab as the other buildings contained in that larger structure. It is located in the very center of the Marble City and of Tarana as a whole. The Royal Palace is built on the highest point in Tarana and its highest tower is Tarana's highest reaching structure.
