The armed forces of the Holy Kingdom of Entsteig, commonly known as the Royal Steigian Armed Forces, encompasses a navy, army, air force, marine corps, and a coast guard. The Steigian military reported a personnel strength of 2,009,119 in 2006 (900,000 active, 1,100,000 reserve), the Royal Steigian Armed Forces constitutes one of the smallest militaries in the greater oceanic region. The Royal Steigian Armed Forces however have a high spending on relatively small numbers of personnel, research, design and procurement of defence equipment. This means that the Steigian military is one of the most powerful and technologically advanced forces in the world. The Commander-in-Chief is the monarch, King Hedrik II but during peacetime the military is managed and administered by the Ministry of Defence.

The Royal Steigian Armed Forces are charged with protecting the territories of the Holy Kingdom of Entsteig, promoting Entsteig's wider security interests, and supporting international peacekeeping efforts. The Steigian military often works as part of a coalition but is completely capable of operating unilaterally and has done so.

Recent operations are comprised of the driving of terrorist cells out of Entsteig (2004) and the defence of Shapren (2007).
