The SCORPION ORGANIZATION (officially the NAFT Scorpion Mujaheedin) is an organisation with a design loosely based on COBRA and NOD.

The organization is the true military power of Tiberian Destiny and recruits itself from terror organisation – preferably muslim organisations, but others are incorporated as well. SCORPION's predecessor was a an Israeli energy company called Zion Corp., a sub-contractor of The Shin Ra Corp. The corporation was originally engaged in the exploitation of oil fields in Arabia. When Tiberium impacted on Earth, Zion Corp. sought to use the substance as a source of energy and raw materials. However, this was only a way to finance the primary goal: the founding of a Zion state, and the company employed a large force own own military, mostly sub-contractor security firms and mercenaries to protect its interests in the arab world and to further its goal. However, the military was also backed by a large group of fanatics that would give their life for Zion. When Tiberium-related mutations, scarcity of fertile land and general anarchy increased, Zion Corp. was able to hold its position due to the massive, well-defended industrial complexes it had set up all over Israel and several middle-east nations. The corporation adopted a more religious, and first of all, a more militaristic ideology and reemerged from the initial chaos following the impact of the Tiberium meteorite as the Scorpion Organization (ZION CORP. and SCORPION actually contain the same letters - except for the abbrevational "." and the "Z", which became "S"). The organisation's forces, called Scorpions, are highly fanatic and willingly give their life for the organization and it's semi-religious ideology, called The Evangelion Of Kane, which is based on the Jewish Kabbalah and the Muslim Qu'ran, salted with prophecies and comments by Kane. SCORPION often works closely with the Syndicate, Nod, COBRA, HYDRA, SPECTRE, the Legion Of Doom, the GLA, the Shin Ra, MARS, ARES and other minor organizations that are either terrorist groups or further international terrorism through arms trade or similar. Scorpion recruits it's members mostly from the poor, unemployed masses of third world nations, but has also members in the upper ranks of society. However, unlike one would think of a Muslim organization, there is no feeling of brotherhood between the members of the organisation. Instead, there is hard competition and only the fanaticism unites the organization behind it's goals, probably taken over from the capitalist origins of the organization.

SCORPION is currently looking to replace the F-89 fighter jets and FV101 Scorpion tanks with newer hardware. Offers can be wired to Tiberian Destiny, The Shin Ra Corp or placed on The Shin Ra Corp's arms trade storefront.

Weapons

The organizations standard sidearm is the Skorpion SMG, but more elite troops also use Uzis and Hughes Black Adder SMGs. Against aerial targets, Stinger missiles are the weapon of choice of SCORPION, used by the Stinger Tanks and Stinger Scorpion troopers.

Characters

• Scorpio - A superhuman that is said to have been created by an ancient Egyptian ritual, but probably, technology of the alien Scrin was involved in his creation. Scorpio unites in himself the best traits of people that wrote history, like Alexander The Great, Saladin, .
• Scorpion Solitaire - a special agent of SCORPION. Solitaire usually works alone. He's almost supernaturally fast and agile. It is unclear wether his increased physical and mental powers come from a refined treatment of SCORPION's genetic transmutation process. Solitaire uses playing cards as weapons.
• Mac Gargan - A subject to a genetic transmutation process developed by SCORPION. While Mac has immense physical powers, he was driven insane by the process and after commiting a massacre in one of SCORPIONS bases, he was caught by the organization's elite forces and is currently imprisoned and studied in Akrabbim base.
• Borispider - a russian Shiner that was exiled from The Forgotten Land because of rule violations. Although not a member of SCORPION, he occasionally works for the organization when not much more but brute force is required.
• Carmilla Black - a former special agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. who now works for SCORPION. Carmilla can deliver a poisonous sting with her left arm, that can incapacitate or even kill a human with a slight touch. Her powers were gained by genetic transmutation, however, this happened before she joined SCORPION and it is likely that SCORPION began to develop its own genetics program after having studied her. • The Stings - A group of ninjas in SCORPION's employ that use a boyband as cover.

Bases

• Akrabbim - a secret complex inside a mountain range in Israel that serves as SCORPIONs main base. Named after the biblical wikipedia:Akrabbim.
• Caliphornia - Officially the Caliphate of California. A breakoff nation in California that was declared independant from the US under the influence of SCORPION when the US briefly fell into disarray in the 1990's. It was ruled from the Scorpion Tower, the official embassy of NeoZion.
• Mount Zion - a second underground complex in Israel.
• NeoZion - a space colony that was originally started as a commercial project by Zion Corp. The space colony was declared a sovereign nation and many of SCORPION's most sophisticated research and weapons project took place here, including the Mobile Suit research and the creation of Scorpio.
• Scorpion Tower - A highrise in California that served as embassy of SCORPION after NeoZion was declared an independant nation. It also served briefly as headquarters of Caliphornia.
• ZONEs - SCORPION has created several military protectorates all over the globe, which it calls ZONEs - a word similar to "ZION". In these zones, SCORPION military has removed all Tiberium-based lifeforms aswell as Tiberium itself. They are usually several kilometres in diameter, heavily guarded and shielded by force fields. The largest ZONE is Zion, which incorporates all of today's Isreal. Other notable Zones have been created in Cairo and Babylon.
• Zion - The largest Zone of Scorpion. It spans all of today's Israel and contains the organization's most important bases, Mount Zion and Akrabbim.

Technology

Genetic Transmutation Program

SCORPION's research into GT for military purposes began in the early 2000's, as a spin-off of the original genetic engineering project of Zion Corp., presumably as a result of Carmilla Black, an agent who received extraordinary abilities through GT by HYDRA, joining SCORPION. The GT program was originally only a way to enhance the powers of SCORPION soldiers on the battlefield, but the first experiments went awfully wrong, creating beast-men like Mac Gargan. However, when the project first succeeded in the creation of Scorpio, it soon became the reason for the existence of SCORPION itself, finally leading to Project VENOM. GT technology was also used to enhance the Scorpion Claws, SCORPIOPN's incredible powerful melee fighters. Apparently, they also injected Brutes reproduced on the basis of late 20th Century Yuri research with a Tiberium strain known as Cruentus, creating even more powerful beings known as Cruels. They also replicated a Bombastus to counter Ultima. Over The Shin Ra Corp, SCORPION also aquired Kraven DNA from the black market which was included in the far-stretched GT program.

Psionics Research Project

SCORPION also tried to replicate the mutations that led to Number 13's psionic abilities, but had limited success, propably becasue the program took a minor role in the science department, which was focused on developing new weapons and refining the Transmutation process. However, the Psionics project added to the GT project in the creation of a certain transmutation sequence that would result in creating a Mindstinger, a telepath that could read enemy thought and disable nervous systems of single persons. The Mindstingers never came out of experimental status (though they were used in a number of places, like during the (foiled) invasion of Washington, DC and The Forgotten Land), their abilities were somehat limited compared to those of Number 13 and they were prone to spontaneous outbreaks of madness, and more than a dozen had to be eliminated because they posed a threat to the rest of their battalions. Following the revitalization of diplomatic ties between Tiberian Destiny and Magic Sorcery, SCORPION attempted to send Carmilla Black and several undercover agents to Magic Sorcery to gather information on how sorcery is taught and trained in that country in order to further its psionic researches.

Phasing / Teleporter Technology

Follwoing the declaration of independence of NeoZion, SCORPION began development of various ft technologies, including teleporter technology. Details are unknown, but SCORPION managed to produce at least one prototype of teleportation device, the Phase Crawler. Unlike some other teleporters, this device would not be entered and then teleport whatever was inside to another location, but instead, it would teleport itself to that location, effectively transporting everything in it as well. The Phase Crawler was fitted with a powerful force field that would materialize before the transport itself materialized, blasting an open space into which the transporter would then teleport to minimize the risk of teleporting into solid matter (even teleporting a human head around a fly can have devastating effects, so it is better to be on the safe side with that).

Shielding

Semi-transparent Coating

During the SCORPION Civil War, Zion scientists developed this type of additional armor to offer protection from laser weapons employed by NeoZion. Subsequently, NeoZion used this type of armor as well, but it became obsolete with the discovery of the Minovsky Particle and the introduction of M-Particle Weapons as main weapons of NeoZion's ArmSuits.

Laser weaponry

SCORPION developed several laser-based technologies, but they generally became obsolete with the devlopment of Megaparticle weapons. SCORPION used the Stingray laser cannon as tail-mounted laser weapon for several types of tanks and ships and developed the Firefly laser personal rifle for infantry, however this rifle was rare and only issued to few chosen elite troops for important missions. After the discovery of the Minovsky Particle, laser weapons were soon replaced by M-Particle Weapons in the militaries of Earth.

Mech technology

Taking mech technology to the next level, NeoZion's scientists developed the ArmSuits, huge, piloted mechs capable of travelling through space. This was mainly an answer to the discovery of the Minovsky Particle by the Minovsky Physics Society and its subsequent employment by Earth militaries to render laser weaponry and guided missile systems useless.
