Saar-Spruceforest ia a Kiravian city built early in its history. It now serves as an archival and scholarship centre, devoted to preserving the Empire's knowledge.

History

Saar-Spruceforest was built by the early Cosciv settlers in Kirav. It served as a commercial centre and a transport hub. At that time, the town was called Spruceton. Spruceton remained unscathed through the colonial wars, and after Kirav's unification, began to lose importance as a commercial city. Scholars and philosophers moved in, and the city became an intellectual paradise.

Hall of Knowledge

Near Saar-Spruceforest's center is a tall, expansive building constructed from white granite. The Hall of Knowledge is a titanic library containing books, scrolls and documents of the Kiravian Empire's history, scientific knowledge, culture, and statistics.

Collection

There is much variety in the collection of this institution. Some of the Hall's books date back before recorded Cosciv time. The materials of the Hall are written in a variety of scripts, making use of Coscivian's flexible written form. There is a large tome that has yet to be deciphered.

Projects

Currently, an effort is beign undertaken amongst the Hall's curators to create a written graphinary of every glyph used to write Coscivian. It is hoped that this will aid users of the library when they encounter unfamilliar graphemes.
