Sadwillow has been resurrected as Sadwillowe Sadwillow is, at least technically, a planetary government. The technicality being that only about twenty percent of the planet's surface is currently inhabited, and much of that sparsely.
Three of Sadwillow's five boroughs were originally separate colonies.
- Zendoria was the first colony, placed in 2387 with Solar Union support. The colonists were mostly politically left-wing: democratic-socialists and extreme-liberals from the Terran nations of Pacifica, California, Ireland and England. The colony chose a participatory governmental structure with socialist economic policies devoted to equality of prosperity. While situated in a pleasant region, the colony lacked great mineral resources and so never attracted much investment. For the most part immigration to Zendoria consisted of more Terran liberals fleeing what they considered an increasingly repressive environment on Earth. The motto on Zendoria is: "Prospérité égale pour tous".
- Mecklenoria was the second colony. It was founded by Terran and Martian industrial interests after tantalum was discovered in the Mecklenite Mountains range in 2431. The colony was basically a series of loosely connected company towns strung across the mountains and nearby valleys. After the easily accessible ore beds were played out in 2452 the corporations essentially abandoned Mecklenoria. Prior to this point Mecklenoria had a larger population than Zendoria, but most of the people left with their employers. Those that remained founded the Confederation of Mecklenite City-states in 2455. The CMC existed primarily to serve as a united face in trade with Zendoria and other worlds. The Mecklenites didn't have the resources to maintain their own starport so they used the Solar Union-run port in Zendoria bringing greater prosperity to both colonies. After the second mineral boom in 2475, many Zendorians sought employment in Mecklenoria.

- Ariontos was the third colony, created in 2489. Although it was founded by a consortium of wealthy individuals fleeing the collapse of the Solar Union it was the least well-funded of the colonial efforts. The colony project was quickly slapped together by about a hundred wealthy families in a panic to escape what was looking like a devastating war in the core systems. Sadwillow's isolation looked particularly attractive. The colonists were disappointed to find the largest government on Sadwillow was of a socialist nature but they were trapped because the life support systems on their colony ship were failing, so they set up a colony as far from Zendoria as practical. Although Ariontos attempted to remain independent their resources and the skills of the colonists prove inadequate and they seek help from the other colonies. Although much of the aid comes from Zendoria it mostly passes through Mecklenoria as the Arions are uncomfortable dealing with the socialist-liberal attitudes of Zendorians. The Zendorians have equal disdain for the wealthy "exploiters" of Ariontos, but their compassion forces them to provide aid.
- Farsendagar was colonised in 2502 by Zendorians crossing the Sendagar Mountains. The future Farsendagites were, on the whole, less socialist in outlook than their Zendorian siblings but equally liberal. The great farming co-operatives of Farsendagar joined in 2568 to form the Agricultural Association of Farsendagar.
In 2505, fifteen years after contact was lost with the Solar Union a convention is called in Verucca to discuss the creation of a world-state to unite Zendoria, Mecklenoria and Ariontos, some Farsendagites attend as Zendorian representatives as there are only about five hundred people in Farsendagar at this point. In 2508 the Act of Confederation was enacted, unifying the three colonies as boroughs of a new Federation of Sadwillow with Farsendagar as a federally run territory until its inhabitants chose to form a new borough.
In 2572 the Agricultural Association of Farsendagar petitioned to become the fourth borough. The remaining unoccupied land on Sadwillow is organized into the Territory of Ombra.
- In spite of its tiny population Ombra became the fifth borough seven years ago in 2623, claiming a region the size of Europe. The remaining territory is officially organized as the Territory of Silmar. At present Silmar is completely unoccupied.
