Selene Seagrove has become a new member of the Presidium after the untimely death of Marshal Volgin (Commissar of Military Affairs). This has allowed Seagrove to become one of the first non-commissioned military officials to become Commissar of Military Affairs. Her young age of twenty-eight has also drawn criticism from some military hardliners, but none are substantial.

She now serves in the Lawful Cooperative of Laurasia; however, some suspect she is a member of the Council.

History

Selene Seagrove was born on February 10, 1977 in London, England to Matthew and Amelia Seagrove. She was raised in a lower-middle class family before her father’s death and her mother’s fall into drug abuse. She moved from London after her 18th birthday in order to join the newly formed Revolutionary Armed Forces Abroad in order to avenge her fathers death in a mining accident caused by failed maintenance of the mine.

Feeling that it was the British Coal Company's fault for the collapse, she felt it her duty to avenge her father's death. Due to this drive, Selene flew up the ranks of RAFA before becoming a General by the Spectre War giving her a chance to fight in the invasion of Great Britian.

After the successful campaign, Selene was fortunate enough to meet Premier Troskin at a joint RAFA-Red Army gala in London, English SSR. A friendship was started and this allowed Seagrove to be placed as Troskin’s personal military-political secretary.

Upon the death of Marshal Volgin and the rapid need of a new Military Commissar, Seagrove was placed at the top of the possibles list and ultimately won-out. She is the current Commissar of Military Affairs and has began a rapid reformation of the Soviet military machine increasing weaponry output, training intensity and output, as well as probable victories in conflicts abroad.

Overall, Seagrove is seen as a loyal member of the Presdium; but due to an increase of threats from various Soviet and Hyperborean terrorist groups, Seagrove has been placed under the protection of the Presidian Guard.

Volgin assassination controversy

Some speculate that due to the close relationship between Seagrove and Troskin, that the Premier order the Presidian Guard to execute Marshal Volgin in order to allow Seagrove to take power over the Military Affairs Commissariat.

As of yet, this is total speculation and no investigation has taken place. However, the Premier has stated that 'this is total lies developed by Volgin supporters to undermine me and Seagrove. I would hope that any individual who knows of a supporter of the now known subversive Volgin, would report them to their local militsiya.'

Presidian affair

Conspiracy theorists have began to speculate that Seagrove and the Premier have been having intimate relations since before the death of Natalya Troskina. This is currently being viewed as blatant lies by almost the entire population of the Soviet Union. No official statement from the Premier denying the occurrence has taken place.

Reformation

It has been up to debate Seagrove's role in the Reformation and the creation of Laurasia. Most consider her to be at least heavily active in the revealing of Party goals. She is also considered the most powerful woman within the country due to her now appearent close, romantic relationship with Father.
