The First Wave (473-499)

The Second Wave (499-548)

The Golden Age of the City-States (548-627)

The multiple cities in the west, along the rivers, began to flourish in the mid-sixth century. The city of Kasam was arguably the greatest and richest of these city-states, controlling the river on which lay Lebrkyo and Loçñalkyo. Such was its control on the commerce of the river that few cities were founded elsewhere on the river, leaving it largely to the Rorçn. The cities were in near-constant warfare with the Rorçn, who wished the Footballians dead, or at least contained in a small section. It was during this period that the Great Road, linking Loka, Erño and Marlia, and the Eastern Road, linking Kolba and Torña, were constructed, and in which the city-states formed a loose alliance for defense. While overall the period was a positive one, in 567, the far eastern city of Kobla fell to the Rorçn, and the Eastern Road fell into disrepair.
