Shelby Football Club is one of the oldest Football Clubs in Casari, notable for being the winner of the first domestic professional league championship in the nation's history. Now, it is notable for being Casari's most successful followers of the Rejistanian System Karela.

Club History

The National Football League

Shelby FC was created on February 15th, 1436, in order to compete in the first National Football League season. They convinced many of the best amateur players in the country to sign with them and turn pro, and in 10 months had won their first Championship. They repeated next year, succeeding on completing the NFL-CSA Cup Double. The team won two more NFL championships and a second CSA cup before reorganization.

The National League

Shelby's power waned in the beginning years of their participation in the National League, before reemerging at the end of 1428 to claim the CSA cup once again and follow that with their lone National League title in 1429. From that point, the team's fortunes wained again, and when the creation of the Professional Leagues took place, they were placed into the Second Division.

The Second Division

Shelby remained a moderately successful Second Division team, managing to win the Granite cup in 1453, but the lack of success and fan frustration pushed the team into adopting System Karela, a system which quickly became dispised around the league as restrictive and dull. The fans, however, were not dismayed, taking on an "anything to win" mentality. After a few seasons of perfecting their use of the system, Shelby blew away all competition en route to a Second Division championship in '56 and promotion.

The First Division

Shelby emerged in the First division as a clear hop-half team, inadequate stability in the team's core players and staff stopped the team from being a true powerhouse. It took until 1470 for Shelby to win their first First Division Championship, a feat that was then repeated in 1494, ahead of Tyrellia City. They were runner-up for the CSA Cup in 1494, with Tyrellia City managing to best them at Casaran National Stadium in the Cup final.
