Introduction

The Principality of Sindarfalas is a very large, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 184 million are known throughout the region for their efficiency and work ethic, as well as their general suspicion of leisure.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, moralistic morass -- juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Law & Order. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 32%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Furniture Restoration.

Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Sindarfalas's national animal is the Hyppogryph, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Sindari Credit.

History

In ancient times, the land known as Sindarfalas was collection of warring clans of nomadic Silvani, living in forests. A single city, Darnassus, was founded by one such clan of Silvani. This clan soon relinquished the ways of their warmongering ancestors, in favor of peace and prosperity. Over time, this city became the heart of a well-developed, established culture and one of the first great empires of the world, expanding across all domains of the Silvani and Quendi (Elves of Darnassus). Harbor-settlements on the Eastern Coast of the Quendi Empire soon grew and flourished through trade with other nations. These Eastern Quendi soon developed a very different set of traditions, because of their cosmopolitan ways of life, and became known as the Teleri (Sea Elves).

National Flag

The flag of Sindarfalas (A.K.A. Old Glory; Valimatheros) was adopted at the beginning of the reign of High Prince Tamathir Pallanén. All of the colors on this flag have a meaning. The blue stands for vigilance, preservation, and justice, while the white stands for innocence and purity. The black in the corner represents the Holy Order of the Knights Cenarius. The tree in the center of the flag represents the Tree of Life, an important symbol in the lore of The Church of Eldar and its suzerain cults, The Cult of Eldweh and the Cult of Muradin, it is also important in the Horde's unique demonic cult. The seven stars each represent one of the inner republics and baronies. The crown between the stars and the Tree of Life represents Sindari sovereignty, as well as the Principality of Darnassus. The repeated Dwarvish inscription on the left side of the flag reads "Lacho Calad, Drego Morn," the motto of the Princedom and represents the Dwarvish people of Kharzardan. The triangular designs on the right of the inscriptions stand for the tribal protectorates, Khastosia and the Hordelands.
