Sjarondai

Meaning 'gathering for decisions of nobility' in Vegan, the Sjarondai (pronounced Ss-yar-on-dye) was, originally, the first coming together of nobles and other Lords under King Oberyn in in the ancient history of Starblaydia. It was a loose collection of fuedal chiefs, warlords and other leaders that made up a government, where situations of import to the whole of Jhanna-Sideria were discussed.

In modern times, the Sjarondai was re-established by Tiberius Starblayde when he re-took the title of Lord-Protector as Starblaydia's first steps back on the road to democracy. Of the eighteen provinces of Starblaydia, each sends, on average, twenty elected representatives to the Sjarondai. Members are known collectively as the Sjarondaii (one(s) who gathers for decisions of nobility) and are referred individually to as Honourable Representatives (HRs).
