SkyAir International is wholly-owned We Buy It Incorporated subsidised carrier, and largest airline company in The Silver Sky (and the 2nd largest airliner in the world in nearly every statistical category), it is headquarted at North Point International Airport. It is the nation's flag carrier, even if it is a private company, and flies it's logo on the tail's of it's aircraft. It's Chief Regional Competition is Air Willink, and international competition is AeroPacitalia.

History

The Airline was founded in 1948 by Jackson R. Groves, who operated a fleet of 27 aircraft beginning in 1949. It operated until 1984 under the name 'Continential Air' and had a small sub-carrier called Frye Sea Air which served nations such as Willink, USSNA, Space Union, Velkya, Whyatica and even Praetonia. However, in 1981 the War of Continential Succession began as the Nexian Empire attacked other countries around it. Profits declined during the first year of fighting, and flights fell from >5000 in 1980 to <1750 by the end of 1981. The war however, seemed distant from Continential Air's main hubs. That is, until early 1983 when he Socialist States of Sapin attacked The Silver Sky, grounding most domestic flights for a few months, Continential Air nearly went bankrupt,keeping afloat only by selling planes to its rival Air Willink.

However, after the war more tragedy struck, as Mr. Groves' plane was shot down by remaining communist rebels during a business flight. His son Nigel X. Groves took over a very weak company. Stock holders were constantly hassling him to sell out to Air Willink. He was about to break down when We Buy It Incorporated, expanding greatly after the war by swallowing weakened competition and taking advantage of the almost non-existant and loophole filled anti-trust laws, put forth an offer. SkyAir would be combined with previously aquired carriers, creating a 'board', however, Mr. Groves would be given the position of Chief Executive Officer. The company was to be called SkyAir International.

Mr. Groves joyously agreed, happy at not having to sell out to the then state-owned Air Willink. After that, and with the new financial assest of the over 12 company strong conglomerate, SkyAir began a period of unprecedented growth, expanding to the farthest reaches of Haven. However, a strong world wide presence illuded them, as there were no 'friendly' nations outside of Haven that SkyAir could expand too.

That changed in 2006, when The Silver Sky got it's first major extra-regional ally, ViZion, soon SkyAir began to operate regular flights to Vizion, and then, well, let's just say history can write it's self.
