The Solist-Floydist Conflict refers to the unspoken rivalry between Solism and Floydism, and the violent clashes between the two. Unlike Solists, Floydists do not feel the need to convert others. Because of this decision they have not achieved the same level of population penetration. In many nations, Solists and Floydists live in very close proximity to each other. This, combined with both religious groups' tendencies to openly practice their faith, has led to severe tensions which have many times escalated into violence.

Crisis in Spooty

When the missionaries first began preaching in Spooty they mostly appealed to those in Freak Show of the Rastafarian movement. Following a burst of popularty, the High Inquisitor Acco Spoot issued a ban from the Great Gig in the Sky for all Solists. In May 2006 riots opened up in Spootopolis with the Floydians and Solists meeting eye to eye on the streets of the city. The Floydist Philanchez ordered the Madcap Brigade to aid the Floydians in what was perceived as a "struggle for freedom". The violence continued for months before the Spootish government was able to re-establish order in the capital.

After the Morningstar Uprisings, Solism was allowed but Satanism replaced a huge majority of the Floydian faith. There were moves by Nephilim forces to destroy all Floydian pockets of resistance, furthering the a hatred of Solists in Spooty by many Floydists.

Crusade of The Glorious Empire

Solists have met Floydists on the battlefield in the Crusade of the Glorious Empire. The war itself was started by Palixia Floydist High Inquisitor King Davi as an attempt to "Take back what belongs to the Holy Church of Floyd" (in reference to Church lands being reposessed by the TGE government). Following the declaration of war, the Ustarema declared that Palixia started the crusade as a ploy to conquer the entire region. The Ustarema also declared that the Floydist attempts at imperialism had to be stopped, and put Solray officialy on the side of the Axis Powers of the Democratic Union, alongside The Glorious Empire. Other Solists, however, took a less radicle approach. Most noteably Islandiel of Eyygui, who put Eyygui against the Axis Powers and with the International League for Liberation. The idea was that an alliance with Floydism was preferable to an alliance with Satanism. The war would continue to involve the rest of the Floydist nations and many Solist nations, and in a similar way to Solray's siding with the axis, Spooty, but Spooty joined the axis by the Morningstar doings and not by Floydian doings. It is also noteable that Morningstar himself is a former Solist.
