The South Atlantic Treaty Organization (SATO) is a now-defunct alliance that was once very influential.
- SATO was founded to counter The Reich.
- SATO was active in many peacekeeping missions and operations to defend member governments.
- For example, SATO defended Knootoss from the GDODAD during the Shadow War
- SATO had close links to the WBO, an economic organisation ceased to exist as well.
- SATO Space Station One still exists in the Alpha Centauri system.

- To contribute such military forces as they are able to the alliance.
- That they will stand by resolved policies.
- That they will stand against terrorism and nations which support it.
- That they will stand against nations which pursue a policey of aggression against member states.
