The Starblaydia women's national football team, also known as Starblaydia Ladies or The Cherries consists of the best female football players in Starblaydia and was run by the Starblaydi Football Association. Though Starblaydia's "men's" team is actually open to both men and women, Starblaydia's women were allowed to compete in ten tournaments as a separate entity, before the SFA ruled that female players should not be allowed to play 'extra' matches simply on account of their gender.

As such, caps won and goals scored for the Women's side do not count in the overall standings for the national team, whereas on occasions where a Starblaydia Men's and Women's side are required (such as at the Tyrellian Ylompic Games), caps and goals won in those games do count for overall national team statistics.

The team was nicknamed The Cherries in honour of Cherry Garcia, the first Starblaydi woman to play for the - up until then - men's side. She also played for Jhanna City, the first woman to play for a Liga Starblaydia side. During the Ylompic Games in Tyrellia, over half the new Women's squad said that Garcia, thirty-two at the time, had been their singular inspiration to become professional footballers. During the tournament, the team were often referred to with names such as "Cherry's Team", as she also captained the side too. When their away kit was first débuted, it was deliberately coloured a cherry red with white trim in honour of Garcia and, ultimately, the nickname stuck.

The team mostly comprised players from Liga Ipsilon sides, though it was the handful of real superstars who played in Liga Starblaydia that gave the side its potency.
