An ancient empire of huge cultural variations Stellaris had for many years adopted a policy of isolationism. With the nation now in the vanguard of world politics and scientific research the legacy of a nearly two thousand year long period of isolationism, leading the culture to develop by itself, has fascinated and amazed millions of foreign visitors. Having expanded from a tiny peninsula the country now has an extensive and ever increasing homeland, as well as the foreign territory of Stellarisien LDK. The Prime Minister of the Republic now holds sway over more than 1 Billion people. Located on a continent in the South Eastern Lexicon the only other major power on the land is Shadow, which maintains vast overseas imperial possessions. Stellaris had a border with Sovereignite and another with Shadow from the Northern Seeings enclave, however after the recent annexation is completed it will have only one southern border with Shadow and a small piece of land connected to doomclaw.
