Background
The Government had had a turbulent time recently in Stevid. What was once a dictatorship was now a newly formed democracy, slowly trying to remember the ways it used to do things. It had been many long years, since the founding of Stevid itself since there had been democracy, now that it had arrived few understood. The saw the Prime Minister as not an elected person but still as a Dictator has he once was. People still were beginning to realise that they could speak up against the government or for it, a liberty they once never knew.
Religion was still the main driving force in the Stevidian communities. Since Stevid's founding there had been terrorism committed and prevented, racial hatred barely suppressed, but religious intolerance, and more over, religious discrimination was a major source of lack of civil rights.
85% percent of Stevid is Christian- within the Christian religion 82% are Catholic. 5% of Stevid is Muslim, of which recently gang warfare has played a major influence with religious hatred directed between Muslim and Catholic communities. 8% of the Stevid Population is Satanist-- responsible for the now surpressed Terrorist Organisation "Red Cell" operations. The other 2% is Orthodox and some other religions such as Hinduism, Hertics and atheists.
The government of Stevid is fully aware that many of the religions that aren't Catholic have been responsible for many violent crimes thoughout Stevid. That isn't to say that Catholics do not commit crimes on a large scale, but the ratio in Stevid documents shows that the other religions that do not support Jews in Christ and God attack those who do. The government and the Church see this as an attack on Christianity due to the obscurity of the other religions in Stevid.
The governing body of Stevid decided that encouraging the other religions acts as a double edged sword, bringing in more Muslims could increase the possibility of Islamic related terrorist attacks; an increase in Satanism could possibly mean the return of "Red Cell".
It was agreed by the government that the problem is that other religions are the problem, getting rid of certain religions destroys the problem. So Prime Minister Conroy and the other Government agreed that the abolishment of certain religions had to be carried and the members of those religions must be deported.
The Government has expressed it's sadness of the situation, given that Democracy has returned, this move seems crazy but the problem is in dire straights.. the sudden change in political governments meant that radical religious groups attack Christian provinces in Stevid. To prevent a Religious Civil War breaking out the government is making this move.
As this was a peaceful expulsion for the sake of their domestic security, most of the world either endorsed or condmened but took no action. Accept one, Kanami
The Statment
This is a Public Broadcast From The Government of Stevid
Today it is the sad duty of Stevid to enforce the religions of Stevid that will not be listed shortly to leave the country. If it is seen that people are to resist the removal of these religions then deportation will be carried out by force. The situation is dire and a religious Civil War is not what this country needs.
Here is the list of Religions that are not going to be forced deported:-
ORTHODOX ALL FORMS OF CHRISTIAN RELIGIONS JEWISH RELIGION
It will be noted that live ammunition during violent encounters will not be used unless rioting breaks out. We hope that this will proceed with minimal confrontation.

The World Reacts
Several nations did respond, but few acted in the war, other than accpeting refugees.
Cetan
The Secular Ctan formally announced it would watch over the situation, but took no further action after that.
Kanami
Kanami reacted with absolute discust. Prime Ministe Steven Koolridge called his cabinate together to discuss the situation. Unaminoulsy they decided to take the road of semi-diplomacy. They fromally condmed Stevid, in Koolridges now infamous speach
My fellow Kanamians, there is currently great turmoil going on in the Naval Colony of Stevid. Several people are forcefully being removed from their homes, b/c of the practice of their religion. Including the practice of Islam. Many of you here, have the right to freely belive in Islam. However it's apparent that thoes in Stevid, do not. I'm urging the Parliment of Stevid to adress the Parliment of Kanami. We want to discuss this. If not drastic consequences will result. I also urge the United Nations, to aid in this matter. Kanami will not stand for the persecution of the people who practice Islam, or any religion. Thank you.
Pschycotic Pschyos
Pschycotic Pschycos however was just the opposite. While they did give their dissaproval of the situation, but announced they would not take any hostel action. When Kanami became increasingly aggressive they too threatend action against any nation that thereatend Stevid.
Ma-tek
Ma-tek Also condmemd Stevid but took the heavy diplomacy road
The Commonality expresses both it's dismay at the decision taken by the Stevid Government in deporting those who do not conform to the societal 'norm' desired by that government, and at the consequences of that action; and, more importantly, our deepest heartfelt sympathies to those affected by this tragic turn of events.
The Commonality observes it's willingness to provide humanitarian support to Stevid, should they so express a desire to be the recipient of said, and further, sadly acknowledges the sovereign right of Stevid to undertake this action - even though we request that Stevid enter into multilateral talks with willing, neutral parties (including ourselves), with a view to finding a less dramatic and drastic solution to their society's difficulties.
The Commonality is also more than willing to provide mediation services to resolve any international disputes/conflicts arising because of this situation. And, of course, in line with long-standing policy, we are prepared to accept a limited, manageable number of refugees on a temporary and/or permanent basis if required.

Aqua Anu
Aqua Anu was also very angry about Stevids Actions, and while didn't openly condem them, did take the side of Kanami Should things resorted to Military action, Aqua Anu would have assited.
Mounting of Tension
So far Kanami was the only nation fully condmeing and threating Stevid. Stevid shrugged a lot of the threats off, but began to take them seriously.
Stevid Upgaraded to DEFCON 4 as a percuation. Soon after Stevid began to get aggressive, and even threatend Kanami by sending carriers out to Kanami waters.
Kanami had offered peace keeping troops, but Stevid rejected this offer and continues to mount against them.
Finally later on, DEFCON 2 was put into effect, and six ships were sent to Kanami's borders.

Pschycotic Pschycos another powerful nation was clearly on Stevid's side. This would make matters go from bad to worse.
Kanami upgraded to DEFCON 1
Domestic Tension
While much of what went on in Stevid is purley speculation, things we're getting bad. As police rounded up more and more people, the world, paticullarly Kanami, began to worry. Many refugees claimed SWAT officers we're shooting women and children on the spot, busting down doors and draggin people away. Such allegations have never been proven. Stevid maintains the only people that we're shot we're thoes resisting arrest, and few people died in cross fires.
Rebellious groups took up armes against police, and it was creating literal mini-wars. Bellmore Way Poland Street Way Mosque were some of the bloodiest battles to occure. Detalis of these battles are kept in Stevid's Government Files only.
Resolving
Things we're growing worse between Stevid Kanami and Pschycotic Pschycos
Both PP and Kanami issued ultimatiums, only the one was against the intrest of Kanami. it looked like war would be inevitable.
Finally Ma-tek the most nutural nation in the situation called all parties to reslove the situaton.
Under the suggestiong of PsycPsy, all the delgates met in the middle of the ocean far from any point of conflict.
Conferense
The confrense between Conroy, Koolridge, and Yamamato latsted nearly 4 days with accustions on both sides. Koolridge's objective was to convince Stevid to stop, and to get Stevid to answer for it's crimes. However much to his dismay the deportations we're complete, and Stevid was a global power, not exactly willing to bow down to a small still growing country.

The STEVID-KANAMI NON-AGGRESSION PACT
Offically adopted after a stalemated discussion both nations signed this pact agreeing.
Epilouge
In the end all nations walked away with out a shot fire. However Steven Koolridge felt like a failure, David Conroy felt victorious.
The cold battle and NAP serve as a reminder for all policey when it comes to violation of human rights.
Although intrestingly enough Kanami and Stevid put aside old conflicts to aid Kurona during the Kuronan Storm Crises and now are faily nutral partners. Most resentment has died down in the Romeny Administration, but there are thoes who bear the emotional scars from being shoved from their homes, and into a strange new land.
