Stolidia is a medium-sided country with a fairly healthy economy, a small but not too small population, and a very stable government. There are three medium-sized cities in Stolidia: Smithville, Jonesburg, and the capital, Rivertown. The remainder of the population lives in 135 small towns and villages scattered through the country. Stolidia's economy is basically agricultural. Major industries include textile production, rug-making, and the production of plastic lawn furniture. Its major export is plastic lawn furniture.
Stolidia's national animal is the tortoise. Its currency is the drabble, which is remarkably stable (54 drabbles = 1 tollen), since it is rarely traded on the international currency markets, and itss national sport is checkers. The national anthem of Stolidia is "O Stolidia", set to a variation on "Chopsticks".
Some people have called Stolidia boring. Most Stolidians prefer to think of it as pleasantly uneventful.
