Senaya was sometimes seen as emblematic of Ariddia's highly multi-ethnic national football team. Although he himself was born in Ariddia, his father and maternal grandparents are immigrants.

A midfielder, Senaya was considered one of the most talented members of the team.

In World Cup 29, Hanifah Kyaw's pregnancy opened a midfielder slot among the starting eleven, and Senaya was able to take part in more matches than he might otherwise have done, enabling his face - and abilities - to become well known to the general public.

His very last international match was the final of World Cup 32, which the Rouge-et-Noirs won, becoming World Champions for the first time ever. Senaya scored the first of his team's two goals in their 2-1 victory over Jeruselem. He subsequently received the Order of Merit of the Social Republic for services in the field of sport, along with his team mates, and (also along with his team mates) was awarded an honourary degree in physical education and sports from the University of Rêvane.

Senaya was known as a rather shy, modest man.

Domestically, he played for Kalisimu Kaletri in Rejistania. His wife, Sele Nenj, is Rejistanian. They have three children.

Senaya and his family were in Rejistania during the Allanean invasion and occupation. Senaya later told the media that the occupying forces had treated him as a "foreign radical" (due to his country of birth) and threatened his family with arrest "or worse" if he did not leave Rejistania. The Senaya family still live in Rejistania now, although they visit Ariddia regularly.
