The Taevrian Yen (T¥) is the currency used in Hamptonshire and any smaller island governments owned by the Taevrian Empire. The plural form is "Yen" and one is divided into 100 Quarter Yen (Q¥), singular and plural. The Taevrian Yen is one of the minor and more stable currencies in the NationStates world.
History
In the spring of 1808, it was decided by the Imperial Court that Taevri should abandon the Japanese Yen in favor of a less Japan-centric currency. When the exchange process began in the summer of 1809 the Japanese Yen was replaced at the rate of 2 ¥ to the T¥. Within 2.5 years there was enough printed T¥ notes and minted coins to replace all ¥ within the Empire.
