Can someone change this back?

-C. Janke (mora Tau)

Yup. And, for good measure, I just did. Hope this is the correct version. → Ceo \ squawk 03:06, 24 January 2006 (GMT)

MOST OF THIS IS BULLSHIT

I wish people didnt have to read this steaming pile of horsemaneure.

I guess that's so, as you seem to have spared some people the horror of it with some vandalism: [1] Please avoid it in the future. Thanks! → Ceo \ squawk 14:01, 24 January 2006 (GMT)

-Just to make people aware, I feel that certain elements of this report are biased against me, and I may be forced to change them in the near future. Comrade Christina J.

Cleanup

I'm adding a cleanup tag. This article appears to be about a nation, but is written as if it were about a character. All in all very messy. Aridd 09:29, 11 June 2006 (GMT)

Someone removed the cleanup tag. I'm putting it back again. This article is still messy. Aridd 12:27, 21 June 2006 (GMT)

I'm putting the cleanup tag back again. The way this article is introduced suggests it's about a player, but it also appears to be about a nation. My suggestion is that you split it: write an article specifically about the nation (Marturia Centrale), and write a user page about the user behind it. I'm thinking of either giving this article an inclusion tag, or moving it to a user page. For now, I'm just putting a cleanup tag, so you can decide what to do with it. Regarding your comments on my talk page... I think part of the problem is that "Comrade Martin" is not a "character" in the usual sense. He's a player (i.e., I assume, you) rather than an in-game character. Which is why I suggest you turn this article into a user page, and expand on the Marturia Centrale article instead. If you're not sure how, I can do it for you (once you've created a user account, that is). But the main problem with the article as it is at present (leaving aside for now the nation infobox in a character article) is the fact a player is categorised as a character. Regarding the nation/character merging, you could start by moving the infobox to the nation page, and simply linking to that page from this one. Aridd 14:03, 24 June 2006 (GMT)

What is the difference between a user and a character insofar as NS is concerned? Are not all users essentially characters in the dynamic and organic "story" of NationStates? Nonetheless, if you'd like to make it a user page, be my guest, but I don't want to mess anything up by messing with it. I do have a user account, but I never log in to it (not entirely sure what my password is, either.) As for the Marturia Centrale infobox, myself as a user/character is embodied by Marturia Centrale, which is the only material, representable form of my character. - Comrade Martin

Ah, all right; I see the problem. The difference between a user and a character is that a user is the real life creator of a nation, whereas a character is a fictitious person who exists within the fictitious setting of the NationStates world. I suggest you take a look at the article on Characters, and at a few of the articles on the Characters category. An in-game character (a fictitious person) may have a character article; a user (a real person) has a user page. For example, I'm my nation's creator, and as such I have a user page; in-game, though, the rulers of my nation are characters: Aj Ud and Nuriyah Khadhim. They exist within the fictitious setting of the NS world, and hence are characters.
If you want there to be a character called Comrade Martin, that's fine, but you need to distinguish between the player and the character, who should be two seperate people. In your article, the difference is completely blurred.
I don't want to move around the contents of your article, because I don't want to turn it into something not of your liking. But what you seem to need is two, or perhaps three pages. An article on the nation Marturia Centrale, with the infobox; a user page on yourself, the player behind Marturia Centrale; and perhaps a character article on Comrade Martin if there is such a person as a fictitious in-game character. Or, at the very least, you need to explain clearly, in your article(s), the connections and distinctions between nation, character (if there is one) and player. Aridd 13:10, 25 June 2006 (GMT)

I'm turning this into a user page. If you disagree, feel free to rewrite it or split it into several articles to cover the various aspects (user, character, nation). Aridd 11:48, 12 July 2006 (GMT)

Edit: I can't move it; there's already a page called User:Comrade Martin. I recommend you merge the two. Aridd 11:55, 12 July 2006 (GMT)
