The mercury poisoning claim seems equally suspicious to me since mercury poisoning causes brain damage, not insanity, and surely the family of a victim of such an affliction would differentiate the two. Brain damage from mercury poisoning wouldn't lead to the player starting a new nation and posting like an insane person either. The claim of institutionalisation seems similarly unlikely. I think the statement needs NPOVing. --Pantocratoria 10:09, 8 May 2006 (GMT)

I have deleted the section about the player behind DemonLordEnigma. This is an IC factbook article. OOC information about the player does not belong in this context. Also, I believe that, since there is no verifiable evidence of the player's fate in the real world, it is useless to speculate. Further, because the source and veracity of the information is questionable, it cannot be represented as fact. Finally, NSwiki itself is meant to contain information pertinent to NationStates, and what is happening in the real world does not fit that category.

In conclusion, I do not believe information about any player belongs on NSwiki except in a profile created by that player in its user account. Guessing games about DLE's player probably belong nowhere on NSwiki, and belong least of all on an IC factbook. I hope that my fellow contributers will agree and uphold my decision to delete the section. -- Xanthal

While discussion of a metagame nature has its place on this wiki, speculation about the real-life circumstances of a player has no place here, as it is completely unverifiable.  I support Xanthal's actions, albeit belatedly. --Goobergunch|? 09:21, 17 May 2007 (GMT)

Just a small thing, and I hope you all hope I am correct about this, but no women in the US military died during August 2005.

-- You are correct. This claim is just another layer of bullshit from a player with a long history of it. Of course, the fact that no woman with DLE's supposed rank died in August, but no women with her supposed name and rank has died in Iraq period.

This sort of speculation really doesn't do anything. I'll NPOV that statement; then maybe we can leave this alone? Gruen2alk 02:37, 12 January 2006 (GMT)

Mercury poisoning

The mercury poisoning claim seems equally suspicious to me since mercury poisoning causes brain damage, not insanity, and surely the family of a victim of such an affliction would differentiate the two. Brain damage from mercury poisoning wouldn't lead to the player starting a new nation and posting like an insane person either. The claim of institutionalisation seems similarly unlikely. I think the statement needs NPOVing. --Pantocratoria 10:09, 8 May 2006 (GMT)

Speculation about the player

-- Xanthal

I agree whole-heartedly. --Pantocratoria 01:41, 22 June 2006 (GMT)
