I've Nominated this article to be a featured article, because my brother put a lot of work into it, and it seems to be as detailed as any other candidate. - Conrad Kruschev 14:06 pm (GMT) 21st October 2006

  1. My brother put a lot of work into this article, now don't go thinking that's why I nominated, because my brother wrote it! Its not, I was even more critical of this article than I would be of any other I have viewed, however despite this I still think that it is a quality piece of work, with an excellent history behind it, that is also well written. Its structured is also something to look at as an excellent example of how an amature article should be written. My brother has few expertise on Wiki, and yet he has still managed to create (with a bit of my help) an effective and well structured article about his new nation. - Conrad Kruschev, 14:06 pm (GMT) 21st October 2006

Oppose

  1. I am afraid that it just does not reach the standard. it is really a few articles merged into one, and is not that informative, as almost all the content is about a war, and the only information besides that is single paragraphs about provinces, and a short description ripped off the nation page. You should have taken a look at what our featured articles look like before nominating this. "My brother/sister/wife/husband/uncle/aunt/son/daughter/pet wrote this" alone is not a reason tio nominate an article for being featured. --swilatia 18:01, 21 October 2006 (GMT)
  2. As blunt as it is, I agree with Swil on this. The article's layout needs major work and the textual content needs substantial improvement. Could be a good article in time but right now it's not really close to featured status. (( Pacitalkia )) Time sent: 18:14, 21 October 2006 (GMT)
  3. I think it needs more sections, what about economy, demography, education, transport... featured articles about nations speak at least shortly about every aspect of life in the country and real wiki articles about countries do the same. I think that for now the article is quite incomplete. Vassfforcia 16:13, 27 January 2007 (GMT)

Neutral

  1. It has the makings of a decent article, but the layout is not good - and as noted, it's very military-centric. For a start, those infoboxes drifting all over the place need sorting.
