Support

  1. I believe this article should be nominated for it's sheer brilance in quality writting. I feel that it deserves it's place in NSWiki history. I support as nominator. Nice Cool People 19:05, 24 February 2006 (GMT)
  2. I guess I support. Dominant One 05:24, 14 June 2006 (GMT)
  3. I think it should be. I do agree that some of the content could be moved to other articles), but I see enough original material here that is linked to other articles that this could be a very nice starting page. Mikitivity 00:57, 11 August 2006 (GMT)
  4. Good all around article Lightman 18:22, 5 September 2006 (GMT)
  5. Nice and detailed article and very comprehensive. I think it is FA material. DeltaMalaysia 19:28, 8 July 2007 (GMT)
  6. Great article. I love the detail. Ozztopia 03:52, 18 July 2007 (GMT)
  7. It's very good, and the article is supported well by its images. The size of the article at 83 KB is a concern - I would advise moving the government section to its own article and including just a summary here. It's excellent, even so. --Germanalasia 18:41, 21 July 2007 (GMT)
  8. I like how detailed and well thought-out the article is. CI 02:19, 24 July 2007 (GMT)
  9. Agreed.Dankism 00:22, 20 August 2007 (GMT)

Oppose

  1. Too many links to nonexistant or inclomplete pages (pages with blank sections), a little too messy, and no structure. Needs improvement if its to be featured. --swilatia 13:00, 5 March 2006 (GMT)

Neutral

  1. Very good article, in my opinion, but still lacks structure, a large part being very irrelevent. If most of the Governement section is moved to a different article, then I will support nomination.Vuam and Isma 19:53, 24 February 2006 (GMT)
  2. Dead links are noticeable, a bit too many first-person refs, and the lists at the end could be tidied up. Try alternating the placement of your imageholders, left, right, left, right, if that also helps. Good article, but just needs a bit more work. (( Pacitalkia )) Time sent: 01:37, 25 February 2006 (GMT)
  3. I have no problems content wise (save a few NPOV adjustments) but I think it could do with tidying up. Gruen2alk 14:27, 7 March 2006 (GMT) I still find it bulky, and some of the colouring - though pretty - makes it hard to read. There are one or two NPOV issues still to be resolved. ~Gruen2alk 10:34, 6 September 2006 (GMT)
  4. Changing my vote to neutral. After reading other comments and rereading the article, I find it to be a bit too first-person and a bit too self-promoting. Ceo \ rant \ rave 04:42, 14 March 2006 (GMT)
  5. Lots of useful stuff and very pretty, but as previously stated: too many red links, particularly for 'expanded information'. Also is too much in the first-person 'we do this', 'we do that' etc. Otherwise great. - Star 14:44, 14 March 2006 (GMT)
  6. Some parts are good, others are iffy. I'm sure for instance that your income tax was 84% at the time of writing it as such, but it changes too often, and right now, it's 100%. With some clean up it'll have my support. Anarchy Balsac 03:52, 10 December 2006 (GMT)

Comments/Questions

  • Personally, I like articles to start with text, not just TOC and Infobox. Perhaps a short paragraph summing up what Jey is could be moved above the TOC? Gruen2alk 14:27, 7 March 2006 (GMT)
    • That seems to have been done. Ceo \ rant \ rave 04:42, 14 March 2006 (GMT)
  • It would be nice if the box at the top were somehow less obnoxious, and the green shades don't really help it either. In theory at least, nation pages are supposed to be about the nation, not the property of one user. Ceo \ rant \ rave 04:42, 14 March 2006 (GMT)
  • moved from support: Tentative support. I feel it's a good article, but has a few too many empty sections and first person references. Still deserves to be featured, though. –|–– Ceo \ rant 01:06, 25 February 2006 (GMT)

Pronounciation

I assume that "Jey" is pronounced rhyming with "may", but the pronounciations (hA or jA) make it look like it rhymes with "ma". Is it really pronounced like that, or else I suggest changing them to an IPA format or "hay or jay". Ceo \ rant \ rave 21:55, 16 May 2006 (GMT)

Your correct in your assumption that Jey is pronounced either "jay" or "hay". When I decided to add the pronunciation to the page, I searched both the words Jay and Hay on Websters for their pronunciation. They came back as "'jA" and "'hA". Jey° 22:18, 16 May 2006 (GMT)

Updated votes

Many of the votes are rather old, and Jey has done some extensive revisions, including eliminating many of the red links or replacing them with more detailed articles. I am strongly in favour of this article becoming a featured article and would like to ask that people sitting on the fence look at the article again. Mikitivity 02:31, 11 April 2007 (GMT)

Government of Jey

I've read the comments concerning the Government section of this page and have now addressed the problems commented on. The lengthy lists of Jevian government officials have now been moved to the page Government of Jey. °Jey° 02:36, 22 July 2007 (GMT)
