:::GDPs can be provided by calculators, although the decision as to which exactly is to be used is an arbitrary one. As for all the other things, they're quite different since  they're not a means for comparison between nations. The webgame provides our framework for comparing between nations, the idea of an RPed UNHDI being produced out of the blue doesn't sit right with me... maybe I'll make a calculator and offer it for people to use though instead of just bitching about it. --[[User:Pantocratoria|Pantocratoria]] 04:09, 28 January 2006 (GMT)

::::I have created a formula and spreadsheet to calculate an HDI, which I used for [[Ceorana|my nation]]. The formula may be found at [[Ceorana Department of State Human Development Index]]. If you have some experience with programming, I'd say it wouldn't be difficult to make a nice calculator for it. Comments/Questions

  • Thanks for the FAC on this article. Although lots of hard hours of labour went into this, I didn't expect that type of satisfaction with my work. ;) I added the feature candidate vote as well. Pacitalia|PaciTalk 12:31, 21 September 2005 (GMT)
  • Since this has been open for almost three months, with no dissent, is it time to feature it? ~ Ceorant (or rave) 00:30, November 19, 2005 (GMT)
    • Let's give another contributor's FAC a chance - Holy Church of Floyd is also 7/0/0 - let's go with them. --Pacitalkia 01:06, 20 November 2005 (GMT)
  • Do IP votes count? This'll be featured anyway, and I agree with that, but I'm not sure 68.54.161.91's vote should be included. Gruen2alk 15:07, 25 December 2005 (GMT)
    • I believe that was CH's vote, he just didn't sign in. --Pacitalkia 00:01, 26 December 2005 (GMT)
      • It isn’t—based on Special:Contributions/68.54.161.91, it appears to be the owner of the nation Qarez. —Commerce Heights (talk) 23:17, 27 December 2005 (GMT)
        • Commerce is correct. If you don't count my vote that's fine. I fully intend to create an account, I just don't have the energy to create anotehr wiki account at the moment, but I will within the week. On another note, I don't know how often you change the featured article, but as its the start of a new month/year, might it be time to feature Pacitalia's article, as it has 10 votes for right now and none against? --68.54.161.91 06:50, 2 January 2006 (GMT)
          • Okay, you've been accounted for then. Thanks for letting us know - and in answer to your question, we're going to wait until at least the 25th (60 days of featuring) before we change the article. That's usually how we do it. --Pacitalkia 09:17, 2 January 2006 (GMT)

I don't think that we should include UNHDI numbers in wiki articles because they're entirely arbitary - see my arguments in Talk:Knootoss#UN_HDI_Nonsense. --Pantocratoria 14:55, 26 January 2006 (GMT)

About as arbitrary as your capital, your GDP, your leader, and everything else. You can campaign against them, perhaps on the forums, but for now, if anyone wants to RP your HDI, I don't see why we should stop them. → Ceo \ squawk 21:41, 27 January 2006 (GMT)
