:::GDPs can be provided by calculators, although the decision as to which exactly is to be used is an arbitrary one. I'm not quite sure what the discussion of Pacitalia's model of government is on about when it talks about whether Pacitalia is or isn't a true republic. I have never heard of any distinction being made as to whether a republic is truly a republic or not on the basis of whether it has a president or not. I am under the impression that a republic is a state in which the people are themselves sovereign (as opposed to a monarch). Since it's a fairly prominent, early paragraph, maybe some explanation of what a true republic is would be in order, even if it is just a link to a Wikipedia article (and [[Wikipedia:Republic]] doesn't clear it up for me) --[[User:Pantocratoria|Pantocratoria]] 14:14, 18 February 2006 (GMT)

GDPs can be provided by calculators, although the decision as to which exactly is to be used is an arbitrary one. "True" Republic?

I'm not quite sure what the discussion of Pacitalia's model of government is on about when it talks about whether Pacitalia is or isn't a true republic.
