Civilians (Lowest order, functions under a small part of the government, really no power)

The Empress has total and absolute power in Tanthan, or it might as well, because no one has ever disagreed with the Empress as the rulings have always been almost perfect. Usually will solve disputes between the lower order Families.

The seven branches of families. This is the artifical system of a massive government being represented by a small group. Each of the seven possess one key to the Omega Weapon of Tanthan.

The Seven Seals

One seal is held by each of the seven families of Tanthan

Qu’lin - Controls the Crest of Knowledge Xarcan - Controls the Crest of Sacrifice Krieg - Controls the Crest of Power Luna - Controls the Crest of Serenity Hu’lin - Controls the Crest of Pride Be’lin - Controls the Crest of Dreams Guni - Controls the Crest of Crests

Qu’lin - Family strong and powerful, controls budget and investments

Xarcan - Ravaged by war the crest fell into obscurity and is believed to be held by one of the other families. Family dead by 550.

Krieg - Most powerful family, rulers of war and commands everything in the military

Luna - Family destroyed in 540. Crest vanished in the destruction of the castle.

Hu’lin - Controls space forces and rules space travel plans. The -’lin refers to the Tanthan families of the ‘sky’ which is space.

Be’lin - A strange family, little is known of them, ruled in madness. In the war of 530 they disappeared after the flagship was destroyed in an attack. Guni - Holder of the Crest of Crests, used for activating the crest system of the great warship. Family are the eternal guardians of the Sacred Ground.

When Tanthan was threatened all seven families made a weapon. Each would hold a key to it. Only when all of them worked together would it work. The giant mechanical weapon has seven keys. To activate it the Crest of Crests would need to be placed in. The other six would provide movement and weapon control.

At minimum the Crest of Crests, Crest of Power and Crest of Serenity are needed to start the Omega Weapon.

Pride provides weapons Sacrifice provides shields Knowledge provides movement Dreams provides mind-controlled systems

Without all 7 the Omega Weapon cannot be fully controlled and will be weakened. The three first crests are needed to even begin the system. Sacrifice provides the nearly indestructible shields, pride gives the deadly weapons. Knowledge for movement. Dreams to control all at once; the final crest needed to make the Omega Weapon indestructible.

An unmentioned key is the pilot, this ‘pilot’ is a special being, genetically superior and meant to control it. Cipher is the only family with the ability to control the Omega Weapon. A family which has a small bloodline and was created to simply run the weapon.

Though these families and the weapons were later destroyed the remnants were repaired and asborbed by new families and the Empress, though it should be noted that these 'new' families are not part of the collective.

Everything below the Families functions on a form of dictatorship down to Prime Civilians and then it is democracy.
