Tararan, literal translating to “King of Kings,” however, one would translate it to “emperor.” The title of Tararan is used solely for Tomanian sovereigns. Though, if one was an emperor outside of Tomania they would be called, “Oraran” literally meaning “High King.”

The Tomanian Imperial Monarchy is an agnatic lineage, therefore, all emperors would carry the title of Tararan, though, if a woman ever ascended to the throne she would also take the masculine title of Tararan. The Tararan’s first wife, the Tarari (lit. trans. “Queen of Kings”) is the only wife who can produce the legitimate agnatic heir. However, if the Tarari false to produce a male heir than the second wife would be the legitimate host and so on. All other wives following the Tarari are given the following titles:

  • Tári Tumatomanya
  • Tári Tantomanya
  • Tári Doriath
  • Tári Minhiraith
  • Tári Eriador

After the sixth wife, all following would only carry the title of Tári.
