Government
The Constitutional Republic of Tekania has a republican form of government. Founded and established in a National Constitution, which is voluntary, yet binding upon all Dominions in the Republic.
The Constitution
The Constitution serves as the "Social Contract" between the Federal Government of the Republic, and the people of the several dominions. All powers to the Federal are limited by this contract.
Diplomatic Relations
The Constitutional Republic offers relations with other nationstates. However immunity agreements exist only in the Federal District of Yorktown... No immunities are granted in the Independent Dominions of the Republic outside of the Federal District. All Envoys are expected to abide by local laws and customs, and are subject to prosecution if crimes are committed in the Republic's member Dominions by the local law and courts of those Dominions.
The Constitional Republic is also a member (and founder) of the GEDRA (Galactic Exploration, Defense and Research Alliance), a participant in the United Nations, and is believed to be affiliated with the UNOG
All Consular Offices are located in buildings around the Federal District of Yorktown... The independent state of the Republic housing our Federal Government.
Available Consular Offices
The Republic operates a Consular district in Yorktown... All offices in this district have been provided with security perimeters, lockable gates and guard shacks... Any further security provision is the responsibility of the states occupying these offices. District Police patrol the streets of this district on a regular basis. But are provided orders barring entering or assisting in prosecution of any activities occurring inside the perimeters of these offices...
All offices are conveniently located near both the Capitol Building and Presidents Mansion for easy facilitation of meetings with government officials of the Constitutional Republic.

History
The Foundation of the Constitutional Republic was brought through by much bloodshed over the countless years of her existence.
The Ante-Bellum Planet of Tekania
Early on in recorded history; Tekania nations had established lunar colonies.
After Countless years, wars broke out on the planet. Leaving the Lunar Colonies to fend for themselves.
On the Planet, the many nations fought. Billions were lost in the ensuing conflict. Nuclear strikes ravaging the globe. Ultimately, this led to the formation of the Old Dominion Order of States... A single world government. Once their problems were solved, they moved again to establish contact with their former Lunar Colonies.
Once arriving on the moon again; they had discovered their colonies had merged into a great Lunar state, the Lunar Dominion. The Old Dominion, in attempt to re-assert her influence, waged war against the Lunar Dominion. More people were lost, countless millions died in orbital strikes by both parties.
This led to the formation of the Protectorate Treaty of Tekania.
Formation of the Great Republic of Tekania
The Two Dominion Nations, because of the treaty. Began working on a more permanate union. It was eventually agreed, that the neutral island city of Yorktown, would be used as a conference center for the discussions.
The Committee, composed of representatives from both dominions, formulated a new Constitution, to govern a new Republic, composed of the two dominions. The Old Dominion of States, became the Old Dominion, and the Lunar Dominion became the New Dominion.
At Ratification, they chose to name their new world-nation, the Republic of Tekania. And then later, the Constitutional Republic of Tekania.
Adopting a flag for their use (which exists to this day) composed of a field of blue, tasseled in gold. Bearing a Bald-Eagle with spread wings; with two gold stars. Each representing a Dominion of the Republic.
Establishment of the Protectorate
Over the centuries. The Constitutional Republic established protectorate colonies on a neighboring planet (Tekadia) as well as three neighboring systems, Thompsonia, Tekarna and Celestus. They all became official Protectorate Colonies of the Constitutional Republic.
The New Dominions
Several years ago, the Protectorate Colonies appealed to Ratification of the Constitution. Their appeal was granted by the Legislature. And the Dominion of Tekadia, the Dominion of Thompsonia, the Dominion of Tekarna and the Dominion of Celestus were all grafted into the Republic.
The Present Republic
The Present six Dominions of the Republic enjoy peace and prosperity among the planets. The flag bears 6 stars of the Dominions of the Republic.
The Thompsonian Civil War
In the 300th year of the Republic... Amendment XVI was passed into the Constitution.. There was much concern over this amendment, as it cemented the rights of multiple species and those of differing sexual orientation towards sex and marriage.
Opening Overtures of War
A religious sect known as Theonomists, led by a zealot known as The Reverend Robinson, initiated an attack, assassinating the Governor of the Thompsonian Dominion... And destroying the Legislative house of this great Dominion.
In a short period of time. Rev. Robinson instilled himself as King, and named Thompsonia a Theocracy governed under their particular God, known to them as Theos. With the King (Robinson) dictating as the voice of their religion and that of the state.
Under this regime, thousands upon thousands were killed, for either loyalty to the Republic, or for following other religions with contrary ideals to their own.
Fleet Operations of the Tekanian Stellar Navy and Tekanian Stellar Marines (Led by Vice Admiral Eric H. DuPuy, Commanding Officer of the TRSS Kali (BSGX-16)) pushed King Robinson from the throne; though unfortunately the group of dissenters escaped to a new planet, and formed the Theocracy of TheosKingdom.
Order has been restored to the Thompsonian Dominion. And it is presently still in the Republic.
The Dominions
The Republic presently is divided into six Dominions. Four more have entered the Republic since her founding.
The Old Dominion
The Old Dominion exists on the Planet of Tekania proper. The planet has several large continents, divided into "Counties" made up of the old former nation-states of the planet.
At one time, it was representative of a world-government. Though after war with her old Lunar Colonies, the government submitted to mere Dominionship, and into equal entrance into the a Republic with the Lunar Dominion (Now known as the New Dominion).
The New Dominion
The New Dominion was once known as the Dominion of Lunar Colonies. An amalgamation of old abandoned lunar-colonies of various nation-states of Tekania Proper. During the Great Schism, leading to the formation of the Old Dominion order. The Colonies, abandoned by their home nations, bound together into a single lunar government for survival.
During the formation of the Republic, the Lunar Dominion became the New Dominion, entering into an equal peaceful Republic with the Dominion of Tekania (Old Dominion).
The Dominion Protectorate of Tekadia
Early on in further colonization efforts by the Republic. Planetary expeditions were sent out to her neighbors in the system. Tekadia, the next planet out from the Tekanian Star, was the first successful colonization expedition.
Established as an Official Protectorate Colony of the Republic in the 50th year of the Republic. She became a major supplier and builder of Stellar vessels for the Republic's exploratory and colonization forces.
In the 82nd year of the Republic, Tekadia was accepted as an Official Dominion, and her government ratified the Constitution of the Republic. Becoming the 3rd Dominion of the Republic.
The Dominion Protectorate of Thompsonia
The first extra-solar colony established by the Republic occurred in the 102nd year of the Republic. In the neighboring system of Thomsonan.
The Colony became a major backbone of the Republic's trade relations throughout the sector. In the 120th year of the Republic, the Colony was accepted as an official Protectorate Colony. And in the 132nd year, as an official Dominion of the Republic. Becoming the 4th Member Dominion of the Republic.
The Dominion Protectorate of Tekarna
The Dominion Protectorate of Tekarna occupies a planet with three other civilizations. The Colony was established by the 3rd Tekanian Stellar Colonization Fleet during the Great Predator Wars of 129.
The Colony became a major front, and later a major diplomatic spot between two other civilization's colonies occupying the same planet. In the 140th year of the Republic, the Colony was recognized as an official Protectorate of the Republic. And in the 156th year as a Dominion, and ratified and joined the Republic as the 5th Dominion.
The Dominion Protectorate of Celestus
Celestus was initially founded as a Tekanian Military outpost for GEDRA. After the Great War of 166, when the Republic was fending off a major incursion upon a primitive civilization by an aggressive nation of space-farers, Celestus was recognized as an official Protectorate of the Republic.
After the construction of further facilities in aid of defense of primitive civilizations. A whole new civilization emerged from the Outpost. In the 180th year of the Republic, Celestus became the 6th Dominion of the Republic.
Tekanian Stellar Forces
The Tekanian Stellar Forces is divided into two operational arms. Who work together or separately, as the needs arise. The "Tekanian Stellar Navy" and the "Tekanian Stellar Marines".

Commander in Chief
The Commander in Chief of the Stellar Forces is the President of the Federal Republic.
Secretary of State
The Secretary of State is a cabinet position of the executive. Appointed by the President, but approved by Congressional vote. This Secretary takes place of the President, if he is not available.
Secretary of Defense
Similar to the Secretary of State.
Chief of Stellar Operations [CSO]
The CSO is the highest ranking officer of Stellar Forces. Regardless whether the position is filled by a Marine or Naval officer, he holds the rank of Fleet Admiral. He serves in advisory capacity to the President and his staff. All orders filter through this position.
Branches of The Stellar Forces
The Tekanian Stellar Navy is responsible for the maintenance and operation of all star-ships in the Republic's fleet.
The Tekanian Stellar Marine Corps
The Tekanian Stellar Marines are responsible for shipboard security. And may be called for planety assault missions. They are also responsible for the operation and maintenance of personnel transports, armored units; and other such assault craft as may be used by this Republic's forces.
