pacitalia.jpg
The Democratic Capitalist Republic of Pacitalia or Pacitalia, Pacitalian: la Repubblica Democraticali e Capitalista di Pacitalia (listen), Spanish: República Democratica y Capitalista Pacitaliana, Romanian: Republică Democraticaliu Capitalistului ai Paçitalia, Greek: Δημοκρατία τα Πασιταληά, is a highly developed and fully democratic country in Atlantian Oceania. It comprises an L-shaped land mass and 219 islands lying to the west of the mainland in Il Marazuli, the Pacitalian name for the ocean dividing the Democratic Capitalist Republic from the nations of Falcania and Hypocria. Pacitalia is a member state of the Woodstock Pact, Union of World Powers and the Organisation of Maritime Powers alliances, among others.

Race, ethnicity, life and population

The Pacitalian population, overall, just passed 3.0 billion residents according to the last census. Aztecs and Mayans, the original inhabitants of the lands known now as Pacitalia, account for a mere 0.006 percent of the population (about 13.8 million residents), and sadly are classified in the "Other" category during census taking. Residents are predominantly ethnic Pacitalian but the nation maintains a multicultural distribution with sizeable Spanish, Romanian, Greek and Turkish minorities. The remainder is made up of of a wide diversity of other ethnicities like Russian, German, Dutch, Moroccan, Algerian, Scandinavian and Chinese.

Pacitalian culture

Pacitalian culture is based mainly on the Italian way of life: enjoyability, longevity and experience. Music and food play an integral role in Pacitalian life. The musical style of ethnic Pacitalia remains still a mystery in some aspects but experts agree that it is mostly based on a mixture of Italian, Spanish, Greek, Turkish and Romanian folk music. Marsa, a section of Pacitalia's largest city, Timiocato, is heavily populated with gypsies, or Roma, and is famous for its melancholy folk style.

Electoral system

The Constitution of the Republic calls for a 'true, unbreakable democratic system', in which plurality elects both the lower house (the Caza della Legislatorio Parlemento) and the upper house (the Senatoro) in general federal elections two weeks apart, at least once every fifth year. Usually, elections are called every fourth year, but the law extends the legal period of governance to that extra year. The bicameral constitutionalised democratic republic system, or BCDRS, is also used in Moepoeia, and elects, by direct, popular vote, 240 representatives to the Caza della Legislatorio Parlemento, and 120 representatives to the Senatoro.

Economy

Pacitalia's economy is among the strongest in the world. The economic strategy is well-planned by the government and the economic productions in the nation are extremely diverse, capitalising heavily on natural resources and technological innovations. Pacitalia is becoming a founding nation of alternative energy sources and is a major source of renewable energy and renewable energy innovations.

Military

The Pacitalian military consists of five major branches: the Pacitalian Armed Forces (PAF), Pacitalian Naval Forces (PNF), Pacitalian Aeronautical Guard (PAG), Pacitalian Emergency Task Force (PETF), and the special operations group Special Attack Force Delta (SAFD). Minimum age for military service is 18 years. Currently, the total number of Pacitalians enlisted either as active or reserve stands at 45,874,000, with 384.7 million Pacitalians ready for military service at any time.
