Temzocali

Temzocali is by far the largest city of the Meritocracy of Rational Self Interest, with two and a half times the population of Bofolso and six times the population of the capital. It is located on seven islands in the Strait of Noroppo between Norouo and Tynoslo; its metropolitan area spills over onto several other islands, Tynoslo, and the Norouon mainland. The city is also an independent province, with a delegate in the Insular Assembly.

Temzocali is the Meritocracy's commercial and financial hub, and its largest international port. But it is better known for its "red light" district, which encompasses dozens of square miles: here, one may indulge in any imaginable sexual perversion, or any known drug, without fear of reprisal or crime - it's all legal, and the heavily armed populace prevents robberies. Tens of thousands of guards, hired by insurance companies, patrol the streets night and day. Warehouses bulge with opium and hashish, and brothels offer exotic delights from genuine (yes, genuine!) virgins to necrophilia. There are also thousands of casinos, hundreds of thousands of bookies, and (for the upscale gambler) dozens of stock and commodity markets; one can wager anything from a single tax unit to a trillionaire's ransom on the toss of the dice, or where the season's first typhoon will strike, or who will win the national paintball championship. But be sure to bring cash.

Temzocali is a bastion of Libertarian political power; the popular President of the city and province, Hajol Norraw, holds forty million proxy votes and has his own delegate in the Popular Assembly.
