The Communist Democracy of Terran Inhabitants was started by a group of Communist Internationalist in early 2007. It has since grown into a powerful nation. Its leader is Minister for International Courts, Law and Justice for the region it resides in. It is located in URF region 6.

Politics of the Terran Inhabitants

The Communist Democracy of Terran Inhabitants proclaims itself a democracy. The United Nations have found that it is a real democracy and runs fair elections. TI is known for its many elections, as well as having a "None of the above" option on its ballets. Currently the government is ran by a majority government. The ruling party is The Communist Party of Terran Inhabitants, controlling most of the seats in TI's parliament. The official opposition is the Terran Pro-Market Party which retains very little seats. The only major party that does not retain any seats is the Theists of TI party which promotes a heavily religious ideology. The government is officially secular though some have accused it as being down right atheist (especially as its Prime Minister is an Atheist). TI uses the MMP system of Democracy having long since removed the "First past the post" system.

Economy of Terran Inhabitants

The United Nations has always said that the Communist Democracy of Terran Inhabitant's economy was not very strong. However TI's Prime Minister has always rebutted these claims by saying "The UN just doesn't understand Communist economies". Private Enterprise is illegal so Terran Inhabitant's economy is based on both government owned, and independent owned communes. Each commune works towards creating goods. Some of the produced goods will be distributed to the workers of that commune while most of it will go to the government for distribution. If a worker works in a grain farming commune then he gets his grain from his job however he gets all his other food and industrial goods from the excess that communes give to the government, it works the same way for all other industries. In order to keep things organized Communes are strictly regulated and the governments economic minister's main job is to keep the communes running smoothly. TI aims at making as much economic equality as possible although even it's Prime Minister admits that doing so is less efficient however he say that it is better to lose some efficiency for the common good. TI's currency is the Terran Dollar.

Education in Terran Inhabitants

All Education in the Communist Democracy of Terran Inhabitants is free (Elementary, Junior High, High School, College, and University), and is ran by the goverment. Mathematics, Science, Language, and History are considered by Terran Inhabitants to be the most important subjects. All schools are secular and do not talk about religion in their course work. The improvement of Education is a high government priority receiving a large number of funds from TI's government. The government also runs a nation-wide literacy program. According to SunsetRPG's NationStates Calculator TI has a Literacy percentage of 100%. TI's goverment funds both home-schooling programs and traditional schooling programs.

Official symbols of Terran Inhabitant

The Flag of the Communist Democracy of Terran Inhabitants

TI's flag shows on one half a wheat field, and on the other one an engine. These represent the two groups of workers. The industrial workers and the agricultural workers. In the centre of the flag a red star is shown inside of which is a another symbol of Communism the Hammer and Sickle.

Religion

Religion is legal in the Communist Democracy of Terran Inhabitants as long as it stays out of matters of economics, politics, and science. The two most major religions are the Order of Violet and Adcarism. 50% of TIians are Atheist, while 20% are agnostic. 10% are Ardcarist while 7% are of the Order of Violet and the rest are members of small minor religions.

Mountain Folk

Expeditions to mountains in the north of Terran Inhabitants have found a distinct culture of Mountain folk living in the mountains. The government immediately added legislation to protect these aboriginal peoples. It is not known wheter or not these peoples also live in the Mountains of Zingatan. Very little is known about them however they seem to speak a dialect similar to that of the Buskin First Nation. Terran Inhabitant's government has set up a program to study these peoples and start a trading relationship with their tribes.

Terran Inhabitant's Prime Minister's role as a URF Minister

On February 3rd 2007 Terran Inhabitant's Prime Minister challenged the Leader of Insomnia Island for a race for the ministry of International courts, law and Justice with the justification of the lack of productivity in the Justice Ministry. An election was called and in the end Prime Minister Wilson was proclaimed Justice Minister. Noting some discussions about Criminals rights in the early discussions of his predecessor in the ministry, Mr. Wilson wrote a legislation called the URF Bill of Rights for Criminals which passed after some modifications. After this the active nations of the URF grew concerned that there was not a bill of its kind for those out of jail. Mr. Wilson promised to start working on it. However it was delayed for quite a few months. In the end he decided to moderate a project where other nations added their suggestions for rights and freedoms. The URF Charter of Rights and freedoms is scheduled to be put to vote on November 5th 2007, and the polls are expected to end on November 9th 2007.
