Than is the native language of the thanic species, native to the Than System. It cannot be spoken by most humanoids, as the vocals required are either impossible or extremely hard to produce. The Than language combines clicks, chitters, and screeches to make words; and is quite unpleasant to the unaccustomed human ear. Even though the thanic nation is a part of Xanthal, the physiological inability of the than to speak Mirfakan has secured the future of their native language.
