History

The American Privateers was founded in March of 2235 as an organization to prey on the enemies of the United States. However, as time wore on, The American Privateers seperated themselves to the point where the President of the United States is a ceremonial head of state.

During a Test Run of their Tesseract Generators, The fleet were forced into a parrellel universe when their Quantum Foam Safety-Locks failed. Arriving in the NS universe, they found themselves in an uninhabited system dominated by a massive asteroid belt. When they scouted around, they discovered a large asteroid, 15 miles in diameter, and hollowed it out. As their population grew, they began to inhabit the fifth planet from the sun, Tortuga V.

As they continued to investigate, they came across another group that had stumbled into the NS verse, The Longinean Order. Meeting in peace, the two groups began to become closer, creating a framework known as the Coventus.

Later, the Corellian Corvette Liberattor was passing by over the world of Irathria, when they came across the nation of Niall Noiglatch. Agreeing to their proposal, TAP'ian forces helped to move the people out to the world of New Dublin.

Government

The Government is a form of Military Dictatorship, in which only those with a Naval Commision are allowed to hold office in the Federal Government.

Almost every citizen is required to serve in the military, though that usually means that they are little more than reserve for when a really nasty war breaks out.

The currency, pictured above, is a clay chip with a microchip that registers it as being worth the indicated amount

Planetary Bodies

The American Privateer controls eight planets in the Tortuga Cluster.

Talonia System

The Talonia system is rendered inavigatable due to large amounts of stellar matter that populate the system. The Dust and gas reates a briar patch that will reflect scanner and navigational sensors in random directions, creating "Ghosts" on the scanners.

Talonia III

A small colony world. Talonia III's population clusters around the Stargate built upon their world, which allows them to send conduct trade with other planets, and allows the Marine Regulars to reach their world quickly if neccessary. Talonia III is also home of the Alliance Escort Carriers Invincible and Allegiance. The first line of defense for the population is the massive sphere of asteroids that suround the planet.

Talonia IV

Talonia IV is a rocky world whose inhabitants live primarily underground in massive caves miles across. The largest city, Talonia City, is the size of Tokyo in the year 2000. The Arian Battle Cruisers Hitten Mitsurugi Ryu, Kamiya Kashin Ryu, Jigen Ryu, and Eishin Ryu, along with the Alliance Escort Carriers Victory and Illusion are stationed here.

Washington

The Planet of Washington is the second most populated planet in The American Privateer. It's main city, Lonejack, is twice the size of Tokyo, with several industrail centers within easy reach. The planet is also criss-crossed with deep canyons that are also fault lines. It is the home of the Privateer's Corellian Corvettes.

The Tortuga System

The Tortuga System has four inhabitable worlds, one of which is controlled by TAp, the other three belong to The Longinean Order and Niall Noiglatch

New Tortuga

The Tortuga Asteroid belt is home to a massive, fifteen mile radius asteroid. The asteroid was hollowed out, and rebuilt with fifteen foot spheres consisting of homes and buisnesses. It is home to the capital of The American Privateer, the TAP Naval Acadamey, and the home port of the Navy of The American Privateer.

Tortuga V

A relatively cold world, Tortuga V is a major testing ground for new weapons and technology. The city of Lornai is the only real cvil settlement on the world.

New Shiloh

Located in a Nebula, New Shiloh is a major civil settlement, and home to many of the civil population.

Na Nex Sa

Na Nex Sa is a minor farming world, with very little population. It's only settlement of any size is primarily a place dominated by Aeroponic Towers and Aquatic Ranches.

Botany Bay

A hydrogen mining facility dominates this prison moon. The prisoners work on the mining craft to harvest hydrogen from the Gas Giant that it orbits.

Coridia

Once a major world, Coridia is now a fortress. The only way that the people of The American Privateer know to get there is via Stargate, as it requires a nine digit code to be reached.

Military Awards

Medal of Honor

The Congressional Medal of Honor is awarded for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life, above and beyond the call of duty, in actual combat against an armed enemy force

Silver Star

The Silver Star is presented to any person who, while serving in any capacity with the United States Armed Forces, is cited for gallantry in action against an enemy of the United States while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force. The decoration is also awarded for those who are serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the United States is not a belligerent party.

Bronze Star

The medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity in or with the military of the United States after December 6, 1941, distinguished himself or herself by heroic or meritorious achievement or service, not involving participation in aerial flight, while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force; or while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the United States is not a belligerent party.

Rifle of Combat

The Rifle of Combat is awarded to those who have proven themselves in defense of their country against a superior foe and either proved victorious or allowed American Forces to acheive victory through personal sacrifice.

Purple Heart

The Purple Heart is awarded to any and all who are injured or killed as a result of combat against forces in opposition to the American Privateer Armed Forces.

Distinguished Flying Cross

The Distinguished Flying Cross is a medal awarded to any officer or enlisted member of the United States armed forces who distinguishes himself or herself in combat in support of operations by "heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an aerial flight."

Day Dress

Enlisted: A grey two pocketed shirt, with grey, loose fitting pants, with tan colored boots.

Officer: A short white jacket with dark blue cuffs and collars, over a dark blue semi tight shirt, with white, loose pants. They are worn with Tan colored boots.

Ceremonial Dress

A long white jacket over a dark blue shirt, with a white vest. Worn with white pants bearing two blue stripes and a red stripe running down the side of the pants. Worn with black dress shoes.
