ThePersianCivilization

The Dominion of ThePersianCivilization is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed population are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked morass -- juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Commerce, and Defence. The average income tax rate is 32%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Book Publishing industries.

The government seizes all major gold finds, there's a shortage of swinging hot spots as land development grinds to a halt, wildlife near farms is slowly becoming extinct, and citizens are regularly shot for parking on the double-yellow line. Crime is moderate. ThePersianCivilization's national animal is the camel, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the golden coin.

The History of Persia

The NeoRoman Colony of Sardinia and Corsica

Having a growing need to have good relations with other regions, Julius Augustus NeoCaesar of TheNeoRomanEmpire in Europe sent out several teams to discover area of the world of which no large national government controlled. Areas of which people were not well off and of whom wished to be helped. One such team found such an area along the coastline of the Caspian Sea. After several months of surveying and taking polls, it was found that the people of the town of Aktau and a small surrounding area were willing to incorporate themselves into a nation to better themselves and their childern. With that said NeoCaesar Julius Augustus put together a large team of government officals to send over to the area and begin the transition. In less than 1 year the team constructed and maintianed a working centeralize government for the area, giving birth to NeoRome's first colony, Sardinia and Corsica.

The Red Death Rebellion

During the red death plague which effected the entire world and killed billions, native citizens began to lose faith in the colonial government. NeoRome had yet to send aid to her colony and many started to believe that they had been left for dead. So a man by the name of Catchra Rababa and friend Abdul Sharim began making plans for change. After gaining great support from the populace the two staged a massive rebellion. It was through this great rebellion that the colonial government was over thrown. NeoRome, having internal porblems of it's own could do nothing to stop the rebellion and cut it's ties with the colony which ultmately was brought back to it's persian heritage. It was renamed Persia and Catchra Rababa was proclaimed Shah with Abdul Sharim as his Prime Chancellor.
