The Dominion of the Abomination is in fact a fairly sizeable stretch in one of the galaixes spiral arms. Of course, the actual level of rule in the area is remarkably small; indeed, many independent or primitive worlds are embraced within, thousands of which have not yet realised they are within the Dominion; but those races who have had the deep misfortune to be more active in the aether are far from uncertain as to the true nature of The Abomination's reign. They are, indeed, positively jealous of all those who do not yet realise the fell shadow under which they lie.

Capital: Tower

For the more conventionally minded political scientists, however, it is far more convenient to point to the one world which lies most truly sovereign beneath the Abomination's throne. Tower is a world orbiting a blue, hot young sun and is the most overwhelmingly dull world imaginable. Colonised and terraformed by a human society long since forgotten, it is a world of long, rolling plains and smoothly rising mountains. Grass shading from brown to green covers the huge landmasses and fringes the long thin white sand beaches of the dull grey seas. A few forests dot the landscape, obvious gardens maintained for the felis domesticae that roam freely on the world's surface and hunt small rodents in the rich or dry soil.

Tower itself draws it's name from one of the wonders of the galaxy. The Varanalkapeth, Lord among Cities, Sheroul'Ama'Nakupeth, Master-Crown of Worlds, the legendary palace of the Abomination. The summit of this black and twisted construct stretches almost a full kilometre above the upper atmosphere, a riotous and ever mounting profusion of gothic pillars, spires and buttresses the hums and resonates with the black power wrought within. Placed solidly on the Northern pole of the planet the Tower Itself sprawls hundreds of kilometres and it's base and houses the entirety of the population of the world and indeed the Dominion. Of course, this population is of free persons - the trillions of slaves who inhabit the far lesser Towers dotted around the planet do not apply.

Economy

The Economy of the Dominion is no simple matter to catalogue. Slaves barter, and that is all for them. Perhaps they use some form of coinage; to be honest, the free persons do not really care, fostering whatever system comes to their attention to ensure the maximum divisiveness and conflict among their worthless vassals. It is upon such division that the Dominion depends. Conflict, chaos and violence in sentient beings generates the dark energy known as Shé, upon which the immortal Abomination and all war machines and technology of his design feed and free persons depend. All of the luxury free persons live in, all their sport, everything down to the last piece of desperate subsistence comes from his hand. Their ownership of slaves, acquired through business dealings or 'games' (decades long wars fought entirely by fanatical slaves at behest of their masters ) merely serve to demonstrate their devotion to the Abomination, an essential truth imprinted on every child at birth, if not sooner. The more slaves you have, the more good you can do in The Abomination's name and the more likely you are to attract his attention and favour.

Inhabitants

The Population of the Dominion are far from the decadent noblemen of other worlds and systems - each, male and female, understands the demands that they must mean to serve The Abomination. The ratio of men to women is quite largely towards women. As far as the Abomination is concerned, the purpose of men is to be the specialists in service of the human race, the race being women and young. This ethos filters down through everything, with men being inculcated with an ideal of expert sacrifice and women with the concept of responsible authority. Another part of this is purely practical; Women are far less likely to suffer radical psycho-biological mutation as a result of frequent contact with Shé. For this reason the majority spacecraft crews are female with partial or full conversion male cyborgs performing specialist roles. Such a crew is now orbiting a strange new world they have found called NS Earth.

Leader

What can be said of the Abomination is only what he says, remembers or cares to remember. That he was human once is certain. Occasionally he may wear human form, in the same way one wears a battered, worn-out pair of jeans for comfort and sentimental value. Other times, he appears as a gigantic, looming nightmare cloaked in shadow, all chitin and bone and spines and tentacles and fangs and skin and fur and spines and flashing blue flame and all the panoply of horror that he has become. The only human being to with the unaided capacity to absorb Shé and not die or be driven insane, he is the master Guru of the Dark Enlightenment. Capable of summoning vast amounts of power and redirect it, he teaches some of his path to fortunate female initiates of his fanatically loyal faith, the Shé'el. Of his treatment of them, there is much evidence of his original temperament; the last female with which he shared intimacy, over three thousand years ago, he held her in his arms after she had slain her sister in ritual combat. His love for the Shé'el is legendary, a deep platonic embrace; A side of The Abomination that no slave or enslaved world will ever see.

Politics

The Politics and Philosophies of the Abomination appear incredibly simple to most outsiders. A singular despotic emperor/deity with absolute control over anything in his dominion, that dominion being anything he particularly wants to lash out at the the moment. The politics of the Abomination can probably be summed up in what he hates most; The incapacity of the individual to sacrifice their beliefs for the greater good of mankind. Democracy and other systems which foster this are always targets for slaving raids or reduction to primitivism. His other hates follow on from this central hatred; liberalism, hippies, conscientious objectors, Animal Rights Activists, Eco-activists, religious fundamentalists, religious liberalists etc. The survival of the human race is the highest goal of the Abomination; if he has to weld together the species by blood or deceit, with or against him, it does not matter so long as they unite.
