"The Book of the High Priests" is a sacred religious text of the Religion of Desh .It focuses mainly on the (auto)biographies of the High Priests of the 9 Temples.(Each to one God of the Pantheon) and their communication with their respective God.(Each High Priest was said to underlie but the jurisdiction of the God whom he served and the King of Desh,as the representative of the Heavenly Dynasty). It is the only text of the entiere religion to base upon and further describe "the abhorded of all gods", Baathok and record the histories of his Temple, whose eventual location is not recorder anywhere else and even the hints of this book do not do much to help place it.

The Book also mentions "The Abhorder Priest-Queen of Anmerba".She is desrcibed as the Servant of Anmerba, who does not belong either to the Earthly pantheon, nor to the Pantheon of the moon, yet he is not adressed as a "demon","ghost emperor" nor Damned Wanderer ,yet is treated, although with reserve,as any of the other gods in recordings of his msterilisation, yet a strong sence of antipathy can easily be detected.

A great controversy has arisen amongst scholars, over the exact identity of Anmerba. Some claimed he may have been an ilegitimite son of the Heavenly King or of another member of the Heavenly dynasty.Others claim he is somehow conected to the Pantheon of the Moon or the Sun Pantheon, witch is,in all the religious texts, mentioned but once,in the introduction of the book and never again afterwards.Others have said he may belong to a pantheon of a different world, witch became negativly invlolved with the Earths pantheon and was abhorded, yet not dis-respected and that in the time of the writing of the book, the knowledge and importance of this pantheon began to decline rapidly, yet some elemantary knowladge, from witch the authors of the book must have drawn a source, must have existed at least in the irst period of the creation of the book. There are even those that believe he is a member of the "unnamed force" that decimated the First Gods of Earth.

Another sensitive point is the room provided to chronicle the followings of Aerokanae, the God who was reported to have died "before the begining of ages".Although this god is no more,he is given three respective chapters, somethin no other god recieves.Scholars had argued that this may come from the authors hidden devotion to Aerokanae, whom he possibly himself worshiped and who could not declare his devotion directly and so went on to summarise all the religious material on this dead god.

The first part of this book, that was done, seems to be the introduction,as the author declares his prayers to Engannakuta, that the God may help him in the task he had taken upon himself.

It originated sometime in 10 000 BC and is the oldest of the five texts of the Desh religion.
