History The Cattle Pasture started in the late 1990s when a group of like-minded coorperate leaders, who wanted their name immortalized through history, started their own country. The land was purchased. An Oligopoly government set up. Oppression hit the citizens with a hard shock. Within the first decade a revolution took place to replace the Oligopoly. The revolution was reletively non-violent in compairison to world history. Eventhough the young nation carried little knowledge of military defense there were quite a few deaths in attempt to put down the numerous uprisings. The result of these prosests and deaths resulted in more support for the revolution. As the revolution drew to a close a the business leaders and the public came to agreement that a Capitolistic Democracy should be an adiquate replacement. The members of the old Oligopoly stressed the importance of pro-business practices while the leaders of the revolution stressed absolute freedoms and an end to government coruption. The current government is sure that all problems will be solved through pure capitolism and the protection of private property while feircely looking for other industries to expand its market into. Under this concept the laws of the fledgling government were dedicated that keeping political freedoms of speech, religion and pursuit of happiness were more important than anything esle. Thus the main concern is Law and Order with a follow up of Commerce and Defense. There are always unforseen difficulties, and the more recent laws are beginning to reflect this fact. |
