Geography of TCN

TCN enjoys hot, Mediterranean weather. It rarely rains, and the sun if often beating down. The north of TCN (north of Kem'Themash) is mainly desolate and rocky, but attracts many visitors, who come to marvel at it's beauty. There are 2 major rivers in TCN, The Sholo River (Source: Extreme NE; Mouth: W Coast, parallel to Sinsinatti), and The K'Elo River (Source: 45 miles NW of MRA; Mouth: W Coast, nr. Rhea). The K'Elo River runs through Rhea, whilst The Sholo River runs through Sinsinatti, Houston, and Seattle.

Nature

As mentioned above TCN enjoys glorious sunshine, and heat most of the year. For this reason there are no green forests.

Current Government

TCN is now a flourishing democracy, with a system similar to the Old System introduced. There is a House of The People, where elected officials discuss issues, and vote on policy. There are 4 political parties, each with representives in The House of The People. Every 5 years there is a General Election, where all citizens of TCN over the age of 21 are allowed one vote for one of the 6 political parties (The Socialist Party, The National Party, The Bazethist Party, The Nationalist Party, The Peoples-Pact, The Conservative Party). The votes from each state is counted up, and the party that collects the most votes in each state may send their representives (usually 10, but depending on the size of the state this number may be smaller or greater) from that state to The House of The People. The party with the most representives in the House of The People is the ruling party, and the the leader of said party becomes the Prime Minister. He then appionts the Heads of the following Ministries:

  • Ministry of Defense
  • Ministry of Industry
  • Ministry of Transport and Local Government
  • Ministry of Work and Pensions
  • Ministry of International Relations and Foreign Affairs
  • Ministry of Health and Sport
  • Ministry of Education and Skills
  • Ministry of Homeland Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence
  • Ministry of Overseas Intelligence
  • Ministry of TCAF and The SS
  • Ministry of Law and Order
  • Ministry of Culture and The Media
  • Ministry of The Treasury and The Bank of TCN (State Run)
  • Ministry of Constitutional Affairs
  • And other smaller Ministries

There are 120 seats in the House of The People, representing the 12 states of TCN, and TCTE. Concerning votes on policy and new law ...etc... a majority is needed.

The Bazethist Government Era

After The Chosen Civil War, the victor, General Bazeth, became supreme ruler of TCN. He has the power to change The Constitution, something never before afforded to a leader of TCN. General Marius Bazeth is a firm believer in the Bazeth Nationalist Variant, and it's policies he will introduce. The military under Bazeth has more importance that it has ever done before, receiving almost 50% of the Governments expenditure. The Ministry's of old are still maintained, but The Ministers are appointed by Bazeth, and are accountable only to Bazeth. Two new Ministries are created - however - The Ministry for The Furtherment of The CC, and The Ministry for The Furtherment of The Bazeth Nationalist Variant.

Old TCN Government

TCN is a variant Constitutional Monarchy system, this is a form of monarchical government established under a constitutional system which acknowledges a hereditary or elected monarch as head of state. "The Chosen and Holy Emperor" is the title given to the "monarch" of TCN. Upon inheriting the throne of TCN "The Chosen and Holy Emperor" is "monarch" for life. Upon the death of "The Chosen and Holy Emperor", his heir is crowned as the next "The Chosen and Holy Emperor". "The Chosen and Holy Emperor" does not have absolute power, but shares it with an elected Prime Minister and his/her government. "The Chosen and Holy Emperor", and The Prime Minister are also bound by The Constitution of TCN, and cannot deviate from it's laws. The Prime Minister is elected every 5 years, and upon election can decide upon his Ministers, that will head the Mysteries of TCN (below). "The Chosen and Holy Emperor" must agree on the appointments.

  • Ministry of Defense
  • Ministry of Industry
  • Ministry of Transport and Local Government
  • Ministry of Work and Pensions
  • Ministry of International Relations and Foreign Affairs
  • Ministry of Health and Sport
  • Ministry of Education and Skills
  • Ministry of Homeland Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence
  • Ministry of Overseas Intelligence
  • Ministry of TCAF and The SS
  • Ministry of Law and Order
  • Ministry of Culture and The Media
  • Ministry of The Treasury and The Bank of TCN (State Run)
  • Ministry of Constitutional Affairs

There are other sub-ministries that are not listed.

"The Chosen and Holy Emperor" and The Prime Minister must agree on all major decisions in TCN, but at the request of "The Chosen and Holy Emperor" or The Prime Minister can discuss any issue. If a decision has not been made within 1 week, then The Prime Minister makes the decision, but "The Chosen and Holy Emperor" can be given the power to overrule the Prime Minister, by a vote in "The Court of Ministries" (All The Heads of the above Ministries). This does not apply to "The Chosen and Holy Emperor" agreeing on the appointments of The Heads of the above Ministries. There are also regional governments that are charged with running the day-to-day running of their respective religions. These regional governments are known as "Regional Councils". These "Regional Councils" collect a flat tax rate of 4.78% of an individuals income. In time of War "The Chosen and Holy Emperor" assumes complete control over TCN, until the end of the war. This process is subject to the agreement of "The Court of Ministries". The Prime Minister, and "The Court of Ministries" will assume their position again after the war, and will be paid during their absence. In effect they are on "Payed Vacation".

Military

TCAF (The Chosen Armed Forces) is split into these divisions:

TCAiF (The Chosen Air Force)
TCLD (The Chosen Land Division)
TCNa (The Chosen Navy)
TCHG (The Chosen Home Guard)
TCSF (The Chosen Special Forces)

TCAF (The Chosen Armed Forces), is currently concerned with homeland security, and defense of our overseas assets. TCAF receive a lot of funding, and are ever increasing. TCAF conscripts civilians, and has them places in TCHG (The Chosen Home Guard). TCAF is split into 5 main branches:

The Chosen Land Division

TCN put a lot of funding into TCLD, and it is equipped with much of the latest technology. There are multiple mechanized divisions, and scout regiments. TCN provides its soldiers with extensive training, and most are well trained. TCLD relies on intelligent, and skilled officer to command troops, as the required skills are not taught to the grunts. There are no conscripts in TCLD, all men are volunteers, but many volunteer into TCHG.

Corps. within TCLD:

  • TCLD Catering and Logistics
  • TCLD Artillery
  • TCLD Engineers
  • TCLD Mechanized Troops
  • TCLD Rout Planning
  • TCLD Scouting and Recon
  • TCLD Infantry

The Chosen Air Force (TCAiF)

TCAiF receives the most funding of all the branches, and TCN relies on TCAiF to protect its boarders and guard the skies. TCAiF is and always has been a non-conscription force, they only take the best.

TCNa has recently undergone massive reform, and is receiving massive funding. TCNa is now a formidable force. The TCNa consists of 407 ships and over 6,000 aircraft. It has over half a million men and women on active or ready reserve duty.

The Chosen HomeGuard (TCHG)

TCHG is almost entirely a conscript force. It's only concerns are law-and-order, and acting as a reserve force for the rest of TCAF. It is a large force, but not as well trained as the rest of TCAF, a weak opponent for a large trained army.

The Chosen Special Forces (TCSF)

These are the most secret part of TCAF. Their tasks are similar to the SAS of the UK. They are well trained and experts on recon, infiltration and sabotage. They are small in number but huge in skill. They are also skilled in assassination of key targets, defense of key assets...etc...

The Chosen Intelligence Agency (TCIA)

The branch of TCAF is concerned with gathering intelligence from overseas, and protecting TCN intelligence. This Agency is so secrative not much is know about them.
