The Cooke Islands are an unincorporated territory of the United States of Cookesland about 200 mile off the coast of Cookesland. They are the only "colonial" possesion of the United States and they are regarded as Cookeslandic soil. The Cooke Islands are headed by an elected governor and have the President of Cookesland as their head of state. Cooke Islanders are mostly of native descent but there are a fair amount of Auranians, Shifreans, Cookboroughers, and Kennyians. The Cooke Islands are equivalent to a third-world nation in terms of GDP and standard of living.

Economy

The economy of the Islands is focused heavily on tourism, with many tourists coming from around the world to see the island's famous rainforests and black sand beaches. There is also many pineapple plantations located on the southern part of the islands while the northern islands tend to be more preserved. Gem Mining also makes up a fair amount of the island's commerce, with Emeralds, Rubies, Sapphires, and Diamonds all being found here.

Landmarks

The only major city on the islands is Byheia, a fairly small metropolis of 20,000, which is also the seat of government. Cookesland is located on Maraca Island close to the center of the islands. The governor and the legislative buildings are all located in the city. Notable sights include the Terrace above the city, from where the view of one of the few volcanoes located within the United States can be seen. Another notable sight on the islands are the Sapphire Cliffs where real gems can be seen glimmering in the sunlight.
